Very unfortunate, he seems like one of guys that is hurt all the time almost like Ben Townley. I can remember he came to Southwick around 07 or 08 and despite a DNF in the first moto he ran towards the front and I think finished 3rd in the second moto on a borrowed bike.

Marc is not known to keep it on two wheels but when he does there;s a lot of riders behind him, one hell of a nice guy! get well Marc.

I'm so sad about reading this. Marc is just a very nice guy with so much talent. Unfortunatly he had some heavy crashes/injuries. He was running for the worldtitle in 2003 when he dislocated his hip in a crash in a Dutch championship race and he broke his neck a few years later if I remember well. I think he struggled with his motivation later. He won 4 GP's but never came back on the level he had in 2003/2004/2005.

Get well soon Marc!

Get well soon! It was a treat watching you mix it up at Southwick.

Marc wrote on Facebook that he's gonna quit. He's been through so much injuries and pain and isn't the youngest anymore......
But that's now while he's lying in the hospital bed. Maybe he'll change his mind when he's healed up again, but for now it seems that he rode his last race.

That sucks to hear about Marc,I hope everthing goes well on Monday. Marc is the probably the coolest guy I have ever met, in 2008 when he came over here for the Southwick National he rode at a couple of our local practice tracks so I got to talk to him a lot. Get well soon Marc!

Wow, what a bummer. Can't blame him on hanging it up after that. Think I would hang up the boots after that also.

Super cool dude... Talked to him a few times back in the motonews days. Really enjoyed talking to him and listening to his moto knowledge. Get well and healthy my friend... You still have a lot to offer the sport I'm sure.
