I agree it is kind of annoying. I wanted to save the number plate and get it signed by Dunge but no way i can do that because good luck ordering new plastics. Also good luck getting new backgrounds hardly anyone has the template and the company that does (hg stickers - the company who does the team graphics) they are out of sweeden and wont make you replica backgrounds until April... prolly going to cut out white background and put them over it so i can get my number on the bike

Some guys will have backgrounds shortly. I know my graphic guy will have them as soon as I get my bike since he makes his own templates.

Could always take some electrical tape and add an X next to the five. Would be a great mod to your $10,000 bike

Like the old Yamahammers with the number.

Looks cool and all but a waste for everyone that's "ready to race" the darn thing. And I imagine that would be the majority of those purchasing this model.

I cant speak for anyone that purchased these bikes, but every dealer I contacted wouldn't discount them one penny. I couldn't even get anyone to drop the tax amount.

It's rare these days for a dealer to make decent money on a dirt bike sale, so when they have a hot commodity I don't blame them for not budging. They need a paycheck like the rest of us.

Dealers are legally obligated to collect all the tax. there's no way around it. Even when they claim it's a "No tax" sale, they do the sale, and just back the tax out of it. If they were really doing no tax sales, they wouldn't be in business long, because they'd be paying huge penalties, or in jail for evasion.

I understand. I just meant no one would even discount the bike the same amount as the tax. It all comes off the bottom line. They still show the amount taxed on the bill of sale.

I don't blame the dealers for not discounting a special edition bike either and as long as they sell, they don't have to. If the time comes when these bikes are difficult to sell, then the dealers will have no choice. I know I'm stating the obvious here. With that said, these appear to be the best mx bikes KTM have made. I'm just not willing to spend that kind of money when the other bikes are very good too for thousands less. I'm not criticizing anyone that does however. We want what we want. Bottom line.

Yep. It's not like the rest of the 2015 lineup is suddenly obsolete or not capable of giving you a fun time on the track.

Everyone who bought them KNEW exactly what they were doing! It's not like you didn't know there where no parts available for them!! You all paid a premium for a bike that is going to be available to the public in less than six months.. You are all test dummies. That's the royalty of having the first batch of something.. So all the frustrations and complaints just make me laugh.. just my $.02

No complaints here from the Men's Section. My dad will race the number five hard as fuck and wait a few weeks for number plates. The bike is awesome, and yeah he knows its "expensive" and he knows it's a toy.

That's why he paid Cash like an OG. Cause he's worked hard since he was 15 and doesn't do alcohol. Laughing

In the future there will be only women. Even the MX guys are becoming pussies now a days... Think of the common man.

We fly through the air like gods, but whine like pheasants.

Motocross guys used to know who they were. Smile

Anyone here from close to wester mass? I was lucky enough to get one of 2 going to valley motors ports which is my local dealer. Put 1000 down. They seem to have no idea when there getting them. I told them I have the cash to buy it outright but want an answer before I give them 10,000 more.

Just sucks because I have to miss the first few races but it seems worth the wait. They have a 14 fe in stock for 1000 less, but of coarse I'm going to go through this painful wait for the new one

Got a glimpse of the 250 that came through our shop today.. It feels like a 125 when you pick it up. It feels like a mountain bike when you sit on it, it's super narrow! Don't know if i'm digging the lithium battery it comes with that only work when it's warmer than 60 degrees..

Looks mean!! I'm getting the 450 but even if you had to add the bigger battery back for the colder days itd still be the lightest bike with the other battery.

My local dealer had a 450 FE on the floor as of Wednesday 3/11/15. I believe he only got one. Not sure if it was spoken for.
