Maybe when Herlings races in the premier class he can be a top rider, until then he only has a bunch of wins in 250 mx and none in 450 SX/MX.

BIG difference.
Damn right BobbyM. TC could not even walk in RV's slippers. When TC comes to the states and wins a SX in his second attempt then I might think about comparing the two in the same sentence.

A year ago it sounded like "Why would RV want to go and race the B series?" And now one year later when he won his first heat race in the so called B series he "has the balls" to come over and race mxgp?

I have never heard "he got the balls" argument when we speak of Roczen, Musquin, Wilson, Pourcell or mabye Norén who left his home country where the ground is frozen 5 months of the year and while the riders in US race SX And keeping their race pace on, Norén were home making snow angels and waiting for the spring to come.

RV is fast, but stop making such a big deal of him going over to another part of the world to race, people do it all the time, but for less money than he doing it for.

And for the topic, RV winning one heat, TC the other on a track noone of them have raced before, make me think that today they were equally fast.

Not sure (unfortunately) that you can put Bubba in there anymore but TC and RV and Herlings are up there no doubt. I've really gone from being an american chest thumper to just hoping upon hope that everyone stays healthy this year and we see some good racing.

How do you know? Covington got 5th in that class. Jeremy is super fast outdoors and though I would agree that Herlings is better overall, I still believe a few of the AMA riders could get"very near him".

Top Ten riders.....not in order of speed:
RV
AC
Dungey
DeSaille
Herlings
Rocsen
Paulin
Tomac
Canard
Nagl, Febrve, Musquin,Strijbos, Martin,Bam Bam

Herlings does not deserve to be on that list... unproven sandbagger that gets hurt a lot.

Doesn't Tonus have a fair bit of experience in the European SX circuit? Thought I'd read that somewhere.

Doesn't take balls to come to the greatest Country on the planet and have a great time with fun loving Americans...

It takes balls to leave the greatest Country on the planet to go race in shithole fields with Anti-American Bigots.

They are all extremely good. You will never find out who is the best as there are to many variables. Stop the BS

Supercross is completely different. AC has admitted he's not the best at it. Carmichael never left his home country to race, can he not walk in RV's slippers either?

There are titles that are earned, and titles that are bestowed. They've both earned plenty.

Do we really need to hand out more? Last time that happened I think it was something like FMOTP.

JUST because RV has also won (dominated) supercross, and the AMA nationals, and is now winning in MXGP...he has done something that no other rider has done in a long long time...that win yesterday puts RV in the absolute upper echelon of riders in the history of the sport. MC has more supercross wins and titles and RC has more titles and wins than him...so does Everts...but NONE of those guys have won at Supercross, the AMA nationals, AND MXGP. RV is in his own category now...nobody to even compare him too.

Ken Roczen has won a GP world title, an AMA supercross title, and an AMA motocross title.

Certainly there is no "need" just like nothing ever posted on here is a "necessity". It's just for fun Smile

The problem is Americans race both MX/SX. How can you compare? Imop that makes RV the faster rider. Americans don't just focus on MX. RV is just getting back up to speed. I think he went to hard all weekend and should of saved a bit extra for the 2nd Moto. Cany you imagine AC222 & JH84 trying to race SX?
Roczen is German and also had not raced SX properly until he went to the U.S. So why do you think it's impossible for herlings or Cairoli to pick it up? Herlings is still a kid and lots of people think he is faster than Roczen.

Meh, all this GP shit and the only thing I have come to understand is the GP guys need less jumps, less heat, less humidity, more sand, less hard pack.

Impressive 350f ride for TC. RV didn't have a 2nd moto answer for the #222. I'm looking forward to more traditional outdoor tracks. RV will only get faster.
