KROC was a world champ who raced the 250F class. He was racing riders straight out of LL and he got his ass handed to him Baggett, Tomac and Barcia (Roczen won one moto all year long). It was not until he and Tomac battled for the 250F title he was a title contender in the 250F class. He obviously did very well his rookie 450F year.
What are you talking about.. RV is also a multiple champ. And Krock was 2 laps short of going 1-1 in the first round of the nationals that first year..

Thing is if it takes him 3 or 4 races to get into it, and he has similar results over the next few rounds, it could be over before its starts

the difference is that none of Paulin, Desalle, and etc have never won ANYTHING . Antonio Cairoli have the rest have not. Dungey have wont it all, Roczen choosed USA for a reason, the best riders and supercross is there. MXDN on homesoill on your backyard track like Cairoli last year, put Cairoli on the USA tracks and he would not be as good and you know it, btw are you rooting for anyone in particular cause as far as i know no one from England is good enough to even be close to a podium, you cheering for belgium , france, and italy maybe? No one can take away any riders skill but you talk about paulin , desalle , and those guys like they won it all they have not won anything yet.
When Rd won his titles who was out..RV,so I guess if Ac missed a year thru injury the 25,nasal might have title like rd has..

Stupid point, argument on paulin , 25 have not won anything...

As my name suggests, i'm a bit of a Searle fan, who just so happens to have won 14 GPs and had countless podiums (he's also podiumed in the AMAs), and got the 250 overall at last years Nations. Didn't make an impression this weekend due to injury, but there'll be races where he's up front, i'm sure.

But it was you who put forward Reed and Stewart as examples of deep talent. And I agree that, in terms of raw speed, they are - or perhaps were - as good as anyone.

In 2013 however, Stewart finished nearly 300 points behind Villopoto, and Reed didn't even make the overall top ten. So you can't seriously put them forward as being any kind of consistent threat to Villopoto that year.

And that the likes of Desalle and Paulin have never won any world titles isn't because they're slow - it's because they've been racing an all time great in Cairoli.

Can tell it's a bit of a sensitive issue this, though, and there's a lot of wounded national pride kicking about the place at the moment. Cool

Well Paulin have been racing for a while yet no titels? he is good and he might be a champion one day but dont tell me he is as good as Dungey or RV cause he won on home soil at MXDN. He will definitly be a threat and so will every single GP rider they are all good but the way people trying to trashtalk RV is ridicolous he got nothing to prove really.

Ricky Carmichael won back to back championships for ten straight years. That doesn't mean his competitors were slow.

And you try and make out that the commentators are biast for simply debunking the ridiculous theories of Americans such as yourself when you say stupid shit like 'i know no one from England is good enough to even be close to a podium'.

laughing my ass off

Roczen SEVENTEEN from germany, parents dont speak english (therefore he had to handle contracts and shit all by himself and had trouble with it)
Comes to a whole new country, new bike and all.
Goes out and almost wins motos one and two of the series.
For gods sake if you're not giving him credit for that I dont know whats wrong with you.

Look at Him, He does not look to be in the same shape as prior years.

and no I'm not saying He was forced to race GP's and it's common knowledge that RV wanted to retire after last years SX.

You tell me He rode 1 tenth of his normal self today ? because We all know that is not the case.

"Its shows how great KROC's first try over there" ----- what the fuck are you talking about? His first try is his first year in the Nationals (250F Class). If you are speaking of the 450F class........ he's been in America for years at that point. Learn to convey your thoughts. Comparing Roczen 450F rookie year to RV's Grand Prix debut is comparing apples to oranges. Fuck, RV's coach trained him.

On the subject of Malin and Wheeler - I used to get annoyed whenever Fro would say "these are the best 20 riders in the world on the start gate" or something to that effect. I guess RV/Dungey/Stewart/etc. vs. Cairoli/Desalle/Paulin/etc. is debatable, but you can't turn around and say with a straight face that the guy who just barely made it into the main via the LCQ is a better bike rider than Cairoli et al. I used to find it so frustrating.

Having said that, Malin was unbearable. It seemed like Wheeler was just agreeing cos he was on TV to me, but Malin just kept going on about the GPs like they were the hardest thing any human being has ever done. And the guys commentating aren't even the ones riding! It's like 6 year olds bragging about how their dad is stronger. It was embarrassing for me as a GP follower. I eventually found a different stream (courtesy of a fellow Vitard) from Eurosport with Jack Burnicle - a far more pleasant experience.
Agreed, Malin made me want to puke quite honestly.

But I dont get it, he had plenty of time to get read, has an awesome team, the one Paulin has been on last year (he had to make room for RV), got to choose his teammate, has all the money and resources you could ask for. I mean I just dont get it.
Yeah he hasnt raced a long time but why not do preparation races then like all other riders do.

He was fast at times but bike just looked weird. I hope he gets it sorted out soon. Good news for him is that Tony only scored 38 points.
He's on the other side of the world as a first timer in a different series. Might as well be racing with octopuses on Jupiter. It will take a few weeks to get used to.

Simpson won a GP last year and Searle is perfectly capable of podium finishes when he's 100%.

And dont make up rubbish about 'feeding off' RVs bad race. Anyone rejoicing in this situation are simply feeding off the responses of the arrogant idiots who've spent the last 6 months talking shite and predicting a whitewash.

I admire RV just as much as I do any other rider, be it Searle, Dungey, Paulin, Tomac, Herlings... so do most Europeans.

Jesus you guys take some pleasing, this is exactly what we said would happen but you can't see it. RV is an insanely good rider and although he wipes the floor in the US that doesn't mean he is going to wipe the floor in GP's . How can you guys expect the bloke to move continents with weird looking/speaking people, strange food etc etc. And smoke the guys that have being doing it for years ? Give him a chance he was obviously very nervous and riding not 100% but that is expected. Please stop saying he is going to smoke it.He is no different than any of the other guys IMO this championship is open to anybody in the top 10

Searle got to many injuries to be a threat. He will never be a champion , he was kinda useless in america.

Simpsons... coulda woulda shoulda if you ask me, i dont think he is more than a top 10 in the end of the season.

but i do agreed on the shit talk its boring, just dont like adam wheeler and paul trying to make a statement that the GP´s are the hardest series you can race. Its hard but its equal for everyone. RV is a master of rebound and for 18th rounds he be fine but thats just my personal opinion.
