This list has been posted about the top 10 crashes in history. It got me thinking, who do you think should have made the list?

I bet there have been some nasty ones at the practice tracks that have never seen the light of day

I think that list was pretty good. I would have placed the tortelli epic rag doll a little higher. I actually just clicked that link to make sure the tortelli crash was there. to me it's the top 1/2 wreck of all time...i've yet to see a full grown man tossed off a bike like a hamburger wrapper in the wind quite like that.

There was a pretty heavy one with, I think, Brian Manley getting railroaded by a few guys as he was picking himself up. Harsh.

I know what you mean, will have been some gnarly diggers at the practice track that nobody had the pleasure of witnessing. had some myself!
Dude, i have no idea how Tortelli just hops back up after that, same with the Pichon crash!

I thought the Vohland crash where he was hit by the whole pack deserved to make it. that was brutal, similar to the Alessi one

The one I thought of exactly.. Manley picking up his bike (may have been at Broome Tioga) and Bradshaw, Dowd and Kiedrowski nailed him. One of them centerpunched him like you said. Nasty hit for sure.

Reed at Millville doing the Flying W a couple years ago is noteworthy.
Bradshaw at Indianapolis in 1993 (cost him the title in my opinion).
Albertyn at (pick one). But hitting the deer at the MXdN takes the cake.
Doug Henry doing the super-duper mega launch at Budds still gives me goos bumps.
Carmichael crashing at Anaheim on the Honda and Larocco ran him over. That was not pretty.
Kenny Bartram trying to make the Dallas main around 2001 or 2002 and broke his KTM 250SX in half at the stem.

There are many more, but those are the few that immediately come to mind.

James Stewarts crash in Vegas on his Kawasaki 125 should be in there. Take TP crash out, It doesn't belong in Motocross/Supercross.

Chip....that was the one that first came to my mind when I opened this thread. He went down hard and then got nailed by multiple riders. I think Troy Ohio....94' ? Brian used to post here as well....maybe he still checks in every once in a while. BobbyM might know.

And Alessi being used as a speed bump by about the whole 450 field.

I know it's not the 250 or 450 class, but the kid that broke his femur at the MEC this year was pretty gnarly. After he flips over the bike you can see his leg folding the wrong way.Sick

The guy in Miami who would launch something like 50-70 feet up, ditch the bike and grab on to a net for dear life. There's a video of falling and I guess dying on youtube somewhere when he missed the net in front of a big crowd at the old Orange bowl. Most sickening crash I've ever seen

I think Zach Bell's triple to flat crash in Dallas should have made the list. That was hard to watch.

The stewart crash from Highpoint in that vid was an absolutely brutal one.

I remember Tim Gajser had a big off at the British GP a couple of years back and his bike ended up in the crowd. That was real nasty

That looked really bad. Gave me the chills.

I think that Alessi crash and Henry's hill climb were the worst of the OP.

I was at this event. They closed it down and made us all evacuate the stadium after the crash. Freaky. Never seen a video of it.

I've never seen it, but apparently Greg Albertyn hitting a deer at the MXDN one year was pretty brutal.
