I'm sitting Atl #1 out(out of town), but going to #2. Anyway, it appears to be lots and lots of empty seats! Far cry from years past!

Pretty bad.

Curious if its ticket prices, TV package or lack of RV/JS.

All 3. But I really think RV2 and JS7 have A LOT to do with it. IMO obviously.

70k at one race, or 35k at 2 rounds. Take your pick. I'm liking it myself. It's not assholes to elbows in here. The marta ride out is going to be a lot better than years past

Yup what a waste after all these rednecks been begging for 2 races for years. Wonder how Atlanta will look. I say just go to 4 Anaheims so I can go to 8 rounds.

I don't think it has shit to do with RV/J. If I wasn't hurt I would be going to both because they are my local races. But I am only able to attend one so I will be there next week. I don't think RV or JS has anything to do with it. I'm an RV fan BTW. Did y'all just see the 250 race. Nothing RV or JS could add to that!!

Definitely has to do with the 2 biggest stars in RV/JS not being there.

2 races back to back. I would've been one of the 70k this week but instead I'll be one of 40k next week.

I really think that there is hundreds of TN locals who had to sit it out due to this wacky weather we have been blessed with. I know my tickets were unused and know of several others who didnt make it.

Rednecks? As if the CA bros and tool bags have sold out every round down in so cal. Looks like you could maybe fill Angel stadium with the attendance of 3 races combined. 4 Anaheims? What a dumb idea. Most people want there to be less Anaheim races, not more. 3 is excessive as it is. Maybe bring back the Seattle race, take away one of Anaheims, and put one back in Utah.

This entire year in general has been lacking in attendance. Prices have gone up (tickets, parking, food). Hype has gone down with no RV2 and JS7. TV coverage is better than it ever has been. It's a combination of all those things.

Weather was bad in the southeast this week, but 2 in a row will hurt attendance numbers, they should spread them out like Anaheim.

I was one of the ones that was hoping for 2 Atlanta races, but one at the beginning of the season and one towards the end of the season. Not back to back. Plus there was a LOT of bad weather in the surrounding areas so that put a lot of damper on traveling. Did you take a look at this image?

Hell, practically everything north of the Georgia border is covered in snow!

Honestly I don't go to Atlanta anymore because of a couple things. The TV is really good now. Atlanta is a very shitty and dangerous city. And the traffic is almost as bad as LA now so I stopped going a couple of years ago. And I only live about 30 miles from the GA dome.

Really that was a fucking ignorant statement about rednecks. I was born in GA and have been pretty much everywhere and let me tell you that their are rednecks everywhere. I live in Alaska now and there are more rednecks up here than in anywhere in the south. I think his flat-billed hat is too tight on his head.

I've lived in CA, ID, UT, TX, WA, and am about to move to Kentucky. In my experience, I would take "rednecks" over the so-cal douche nozzle tool bags any day. SoCal is one of the few places I've determined to never live in.

Anyhoo, there needs to be more races outside of CA in general. There are 6 there this year, including two more within a 5 hour drive (PHX & Vegas). It's absurd.

It is thinkin' like that that keeps all the ball bags and hip gangster wan a bees away so its cool with me.

We stayed home because of the ice laid down last nite. Got up at 3:30 am and headed out. Road was a clear glaze mostly but hoped interstate 81 would be better. Drove 30 miles in an hour in a li n e of trucks and a few SUVs. .when I got in the left lane to pass the truck became so unstable I was worn out from white knuckle and Jedi focus that we turned back . The right lane nearly nose to tail for as far as o n e could see.

It would taken 8 hours to drive what usually takes 4.

And another thing, some of you got no idea how to enjoy a sx race. The race is just a topper on a day of strolling the pits, hangin' round and just absorbing the vibe that is the lifestyle of racing motorcycles.

Next weekend nascar is in town ,hotels will prolly be hard to get. But,weather cooperation will see the place full.

I'm betting it was the two back to back rounds and the weather. I was there tonight but can't make it back next week.

And the redneck remark wasn't really necessary.

1) Daytona week
2) Atlanta back to back races (people go to Daytona this weekend, then Atlanta SX next weekend)
3) Weather

Ticket prices aren't the issue and neither is the no JS/Rv thing.

I would say it has about zero to do with RV, being Atlanta some to do with JS and mostly a combination of 2 the weekends and people picking the second thinking it would be a smaller turnout. I bet Atl 2 is more filled.

Its too expensive for people to take families two weeks in a row. I am not sure whos coming up with the idea of back to back races, three in Anaheim, its all stupid in my opinion. It is not anything to do with Bubba or RV. The racing this year has been great. I saw lots of empty seats on TV at the 3 Anaheim races also.

Maybe it'd work better if they can get them separated a bit, ie 3 or 4 weeks in between, but financially moving dirt in and out, might not even be worth their while...

Would be good to do a map of the US and see what and where is covered...
