Just wondering if there's a stat for that. His starts are always so good, I can't remember him ever actually having to move forward. Wish I had the same problem on that level.

I was pleasantly suprised with his speed and effort in that heat. Didn't seem to throw the typical anchor. Hopefully he keeps it up

no doubt mikey is one of the "best" starters of his era.

Unfortunately in SX he's never been as strong as outdoors so does get passed alot.

IMHO... Alessi haters are by far the most ignorant of all the haters.

99.9% wish they could go half as fast as Mike does on his worst day.

Not only that, but Short gets great starts but doesn't get passed THAT much. I mean, he's gotten multiple top 5 finishes this year on nights where he got good starts.

Considering Mike the greatest starter in the sport... but also not the fastest, yes we see him get passed a lot. I don't think this is necessarily bad? He's still a bad mofo

You mean the rider who has won races over 12 years apart and led all 20 laps tonight with the only passing being done as he lapoed half the riders out there.

Not quiet as good as the old days where he could lap into the podium. But yeah, he has probably passed more guys then any rider out there.

I would guess someone like Kevin Windham would be up there on the list based solely on the longevity of his career.

Really fuckhead?

So of all the riders to ever race, somehow in your hate filled mind you think that a hall of famer, with more wins than all but a select few, would somehow be a notable entry on to most passed riders ever...

There is some fucking stupid posted here a lot of days, but this is winning.

On the flip side, I wonder who has passed the most. Who was a horrible starter, but fast. Time frame wise, I would think Stewart on a 125. Overall though.... don't know.

LaRocco for sure! Has an entire career of horrible starts and great finishes! Wouldn't even be close I think, almost all guys who have titles are at least good starters... Somehow the Rock got some starting from the back!

People around here are getting better at identifying bad topics to respond directly to.
