Totally agree about Jack Burnicle too. One of my favourite ever commentators, you just have to love his passion for the sport and how much knowledge he has about motocross. It never ceases to amaze me how much useless information he knows about virtually every rider on the gate. It's brilliant

Pro-American? No, I'd prefer a non-biased reporter. The announcers and reporters here in America do nothing but praise the riders that come over from the other side of the pond to compete here in America. How about having a reporter that loves the sport and the athletes regardless of where they come from?
American racers are cowards for not racing the GPs? The only American riders that go race the GPs are ones that are trying to resurrect their dying careers. Zach Osbourne raced over there, improved his results, came back to America and has been so-so. What incentive would American racers have in racing the GPs other than maybe making money when their opportunity to do so in their home country dissipates?
Most Americans get that the rest of the world hate us, but it doesn't mean we agree with the hatred. Most of that hatred is perpetuated in ignorance on both sides.
It is a giant European circle jerk in here and it's hilarious. Truth is, RV is just about the most dangerous and capable American rider in the history of the sport. Am I saying he's going to win hands down? Absolutely not, but if there was ever an American rider that could go over and race the GPs and win, it'd be RV. You guys having your therapy sessions on vital trying to convince yourselves there's nothing to worry about is the most ignorant thing I've seen on this site. We know how good AC is. You guys should know how good RV is. Everyone should be worried and excited out of their minds to watch two top champions compete for an entire series. Lucky for everyone, this petty bullshit will come to an end over the course of the coming weeks.

Says there's been a lot of talk about Cairoli and RV which he feels has been slightly unfair on the other guys, but that it may also suit them as they'll be coming into the season with less pressure.
Doesn't want to see any cheap shots but at the same time he hopes people won't just rollover for RV and will give him a race.

It was a joke but this whole thread seems to have taken on a life of it's own since then.
i think malin is good- can't argue against his credentials, he's got alot of knowledge and inside information and is very articulate. I know most of the guys across the pond don't seem to like him- seems to be the norm (on here at least) if you are from GBR!!!
malin, along with everyone else in europe is obviously looking forward to seeing villipoto race the gps this year. I think he will be very well received, i agree with paul 100% - the 'other' guys could definitely cause a surprise. It won't just be the RV vs cairoli show. Kudos to ryan for stepping out of his comfort zone and racing in the world championship in his final season.
the matthes / wheeler podcast is absolutely brilliant! really enjoying it
