Coldenhoff was impressive at Hawkstone two weekends ago (but has since broken a toe) and Febvre beat Cairoli yesterday in Italy.
I could only take a screen grab of my top 15, the riders you cant see include Ferris, Waters, Bobryshev, Nicholls, Goncalves, Guarneri, Lupino, Charlier, Bengtsson & Watson... all solid riders.
I think RV will win qatar but it will be tough to do it the other racecs.
Either way, thank you RV for going to the GPs, ive never been this excited for the first round!!
but what will most likely happen....
it will be readily apparent one will be faster than the other...
I dig the rocky reference. I love Cairoli but if I were him I'd be shitting my pants right now.
he makes riders into furniture movers.....
Absolutely no podiums.
FWIW, he doesn't much race like that anymore, doesn't need to.
Pit Row
Someone said that RV is two seconds faster than Tyla and figured that if Tyla is 10 seconds slower than the Euro Suzuki guys, RV must be eight seconds slower than the same Euro Suzuki guys... (Two seconds less slow)
Im just expaining, i have no opinion on that "logic" :-) that track was a mess!
the same goes for AC, he is the smartest racer i know of and makes almost no mistakes
"#2 is speed. He has the ability to just wick it up."
so does AC, he normally controls races from the front but is always capable of going faster if needed.Watch the MXoN in Lommel when Herlings tried to chase him down
"#3 is his RC like ability to change direction, whether he starts on the throttle on his entrance into a bowl turn or he switches line, crosses the track and takes a win like he did to Dungey a few years back in the last turn,. He can carry speed on the outside or point and shoot just like RC did. I feel this change of direction may be the biggest factor to spoil AC as he'll be on a 350 and momentum is his friend."
The 350 has to be the most nimble bike in the paddock and for sure has no lack of power, also cairoli is a rider with perfect technique. so i can't see why there shall be an advantage for RV
"#4 RV will be bringing the US intensity level"
This is the only thing where RV could have an advantage. Cairoli is not a fast starter and it takes some time for him to get going during a moto. he also usually starts slow into the season but builds up steam when the season goes on. Many teams he gets beaten during the first GP's but then clicks of win after win.
Agree on Rattray, the rest is possible but unlikely.
