I think the Valli deal was only guaranteed for the first 5 or 6 rounds.

I believe San Diego was supposed to be the last race.

There is a good interview on Racer X about his deal. I noticed at the bottom in the comments that someone said Ben Lamay is off the team now. Does anyone know if that is true?

Damn, I sure hope not. Ben Lamay is my dude! I was hoping Josh Hill could help mentor him some.

That sucks if true. Lamay was having a good run this season after a horrible year last year

If true then I think it's a bit harsh they let Lamay go. He's had consistently good lap times, comparable to anyone within the 14th - 22nd range. It's just a crap shoot for most of those guys around the same speed to get into the main, as Hill knows very well himself!

I think Hill is going to have some good finishes before the SX season is over.

Bringing Brooks with him too. Hmmmm.

Good for Josh. Hes a confidence/momentum guy and it wouldnt surprise me to see him in the top ten again this week.

You suppose the switch from Lamay to Hill was a Factory Yamaha decision and not so much a CycleTrader decision?

Larry is his riding coach, Brooks won't be involved in the Rock River team.

I was discussing Josh's options with Larry last week. By the sounds of it, I think this was mostly a decision from Rock River.

I'd feel pretty bad if I was Hill. I don't think I'd be able to do that.

How do you know he even did anything. I highly doubt he would have any control.

And what if Lamay was going anyways.

Should Weston Peick have felt bad about taking Hills spot at RCH last summer?

So if you knew youd be on your own for the remainder of the sx season you'd pass up an opportunity that helps make things easier for you to succeed because you feel bad? I understand feeling bad but these riders have to take every opportunity they can get. This sports too harsh not to.

Very bummed for Ben. It's sad that opportunity was chosen over loyalty in this case.

Praying for peace for Ben. Can't imagine how frustrating this is.
