Edit* not forgetting Ken trains his ass off, and at his age he still made of rubber lol that helps as well!
Had he ben on a standart suki, the wheels would have been squared, and the foot pegs stomped of. I wonder how much hardware RCH replaces on that suki until rd5 after that hit..

I saw wh t happened, but for someone who rides supercross, what did he do wrong? Did he lose traction, or mis-time soemthign?

That was a HUGE hit. I've done the crossbar thing before. Broken jaw. I don't know how he is not more jacked up.

without the crash i think he would have runned away with it again

Dungey's critics were quiet after last night's race where KR crashed. No flack about RD's calculated, make-no-mistakes riding style.

I was expecting blood to be running down his face like the recent Barcia crash from a year or two ago. That looked so nasty. KRoc is a stud to get back on his bike and finish.

We sat there watching him and he definitely wasn't right when he got on the bike again. He lost balance and spun around...looked like he wasn't sure where he even was at. Glad he seemed okay after a bit.

Well Ken said himself it was a brain fart, but on the 1st replay, from the riders' right side, you can tell Reed hit his wheel. That could easily have ruined some of KR's drive on the takeoff, I'm supposin.

Also Roczen took off with one leg off its peg. That can't be great for getting max distance, can it?

It seems to me that Reed grabbed a touch of front brake...right as he bumped Roczen. You can see his forks compressed and that held his front end down instead of riding up Kroc's rear tire as usual. That effectively slowed Roczen enough to cause the super short landing. He was already committed and couldn't back off, that's why he immediately pulled front end up and looked back...he knew he was screwed.

We see now this is why Dungey said recently to those calling out his conservative riding style that only keeps him in the top 3 on avg of the world's best, anyone who says such should try it firsthand then comment, hehe

People talk about this like it is a conscious decision by Dungey to ride "conservative" or whatever you want to call it. He simply is the way he is and it's not going to change.

Anybody see why he came up short? Traction issue? Maybe a bobble out of the turn?

I said that out loud too. I said I think I hear him screaming in pain. Guy is riding so good. Hate to see him almost get hurt.
Actually it happens to be on right now and what I heard was not him.

There was a weird high pitched noise on broadcast at the time but I am almost certain it wasn't human

Glad he isn't hurt bad but he should have cooled it for a few laps as he knows he has everybody covered. Too aggressive and too anxious IMHO.

Bet Reed thought that was a Trey Canard move, not that of an AMA National 450 champ.

Ugh...that video is nauseating. Glad he didnt bite his tongue off...or knock out some teeth. Or did he? If hitler had a time machine he would of based the whole german army off of Roczens DNA.

I was absolutely gutted when I saw Kenny come up short on that triple, I thought for sure he’d broken a wrist and that was him out for the season! Shocked to see him get back on the bike and finish the rest of the race, so fair play to him, that’s a champions ride right there.

Give Kenny a round or two and he should easily take back that red plate! Kinda cool to see the top 5 or 6 guys within a race win of Dungey now though.

Didn't Roczen cause him and reeds wheesl to touch last year that effectively ended CR22 season? I guess the difference is Reed was over 30 and Roczen is barely 20. I hate it for the kid. But this should be no kind of any "gate". Roczen man this pass on purpose and it was a super tight, high risk move. It didn't go perfect and that's what happens when these riders make high risk moves and it doesn't go perfectly.

Last year Chad ran into KR's back wheel so don't know how you can think it was a KR fault

I had a similar thing happen to myself back in 88. I was getting ready to pass the race leader going up the face of a huge double jump. When all of a sudden the leader checks up big time in front of me and moved over towards my line. I checked up and moved over myself but did not have enough time to scrub enough speed. I ended up slamming into the face of the second jump.

The end result was a large knot on the arch of both of my feet. as well as my chest protector being shattered by the crossbar resulting in a large bruise on my chest.

I ended up winning the moto and overall as i managed to roll off the landing face of the jump and cross the finish line in first about 150 feet past the jump. Needless to say I could not walk for about 5 days after that.

As for KR94 Kudos for getting back up and salvaging points. the pain must have been insane while riding the rest of the main event. That is more than likely the ride that defines the championship.

Something is up - we are 3 pages in and no-one has brought up the fact it's because he's on a Suzuki and it would never have happened if he was on a KTM...

He is one badass motherfugga, it's one thing to know you're going to crash, but completely another to look behind, make sure your bike touches the ground at the right angle to maximise suspension...

I bet if he saw someone right behind him he woulda ejected mid-air.

Yeah watching him look back, then get himself re-adjusted body wise for the impact, wow, that dude has ice running through his veins... So German! hehe...

Didn't consider that until now. Does look like Reed may have tapped his back wheel. Especially since 22 ended up rolling the jump. Reedy starting to 'race to contact'?

The way Dungey rides chances are would of ended up 3rd, Reed ran off the track. Looks to me if Dungey is .250 a lap faster then
the guy in front, he ain't passing, wish Kenny didn't come up short, would of liked to see that #94, #41 battle for the lead....

I love what nascar did.... IT WOULD KILL DUNGEY, You got to win now. anybody who follows Nascar remember when Terry
Labonte won the title without winning a race? Nascar made sure that shit ain't happen'n again.
Dungey may win one race. IMO
