Anybody that can ride that fast will always be at least a little bit interesting. I would say any of the top 5 MXers and Road Racers are at least a little bit interesting. What makes those few get that fast is borderline fascinating. jmo

Villo has the world by the nuts and can do as he pleases. Anyone who got to that point through MX deserves respect from anyone who has ever thrown a leg over a scooter. And now, being able to see the world while getting paid? That's just icing on the cake. While some may not like this or that about him, there's no denying his accomplishments.

Rv's always been a good interview and pretty funny, just the people who judge off podium interviews only and hate the guy who wins all the time that haven't got it.

I know I shouldn't be surprised... but damn he looks fast. Blink

As for the question, it's obvious he wasn't enjoying himself too much in the US the last few years. Not surprising with the schedule the way it is and what he had to do to stay on top year after year. Seems to have loosened up a lot recently and now we are seeing the real 'poto.

Yes....yes he has.

This is the thing. When you get crazy fan boys of anther rider(s) all going at it with each other on here.....it causes a bunch of wars in which there is no need of.

But now....with RV going over to the GP's....I would hope weather an American was a fan of his here in the states or NOT , would be rooting for Ryan over there. There will be some that won't root for him at all , even though he is from here. And that right there is called a " hater ". Someone scorned long enough because of all the years that RV beat their own personal favorite rider here......and they are to fucking childish to get over it.

What do I say to those guys.......Fuck you then , and go cheer for someone else.

Strange, I would have thought hardcore MX fans would keep up with the GP's too...

Maybe speak for yourself.

I'm an American and having been trying to keep up with them since the Brad Lackey and Danny Laporte days. There are actually a lot of Americans that pay attention to them.....but not many on this board for some reason.

Just watched the video, it's cool how honest he was about everything. He seems very relaxed on and off the bike, I think he's going to be very tough to beat for the title. He brings up a good point on GP riders only having to train and practice for MX and not SX, that has to be a much less hectic training program. Can't wait till the first GP Smile

Hardcore American fans already tune in,just like the Euros on here are the hardcore who watch the AMA,most of my freinds havn't too much idea what's going on in the US

RV is looking more ready, relaxed and happier than in years imo,he's not going to want his career to end in anything but a win and it shows

If you were a hardcore fan it would all be interesting to you, regardless of who was racing.

I don't think so. Hardcore fans will read the headlines as far as what goes on in general (who wins, etc.) but actually watch the races? That would be a small amount of people. I think that is the part that will grow tremendously this year.

If they're just reading the headlines then they're not as hardcore as they think they are.

I'm all for watching my first GP series, I've been meaning to anyway, but if RV wasn't there there's no way in hell I'd pay fifty + for the package when I can watch another perfectly fine series, with guys I actually know, for free.

You gotta draw the line somewhere--most people don't have time to keep up with a dozen different series, and yet somewhere out there is a guy who says you're not hardcore if you don't follow areanacross too, and the amateur scene, or if you've never seen a live race...

This may piss some people off.....but I don't / won't pay for it either. I look for the streams and torrents. I'm not 100% sure on this....but I have a feeling since RV is going and more Americans may be tuning in.....I think there may be some sort of an American TV schedule of some type. Even if it's next day type stuff....I'll watch them all. And Like I said before....I watched all of them anyways......but now , I won't miss one.

There are a lot of moto heads like ne and I think Monster and youth stream see this.....great revenue if applied correctly.

X1000.

So let me get this straight, to be "hardcore" you have to watch the GPs? What about the Canadian nationals, Aussie Nats & SX, Japanese series, arenacross, proams, all the offroad series all over the world, dude there's 1000 different series out there. Do you keep up with all those, even ones you can't watch? I'm a core Moto fan & racer myself, but damn, there's only so many I can keep up with & that are available to watch... Give me a break.

You are paying to watch the MXGP races live. I watched most of them for free last year on CBS Sports as the 12 hour time difference is too much to deal with to watch them live BUT I will be tuned in for Qatar live. Can't wait!

I just watched it, I hadn't before. I guess when the only thing you're interested in is first it's OK to think the points go 25, 23, 22, and so on.

A happy RV could be even more dangerous (to the competition) than we have ever seen before.

Agreed. He also seems a bit happier when he's riding outdoors as compared to SX. Either way it looks like he's going about this thing the right way. He's in for the adventure.
