I think this week's is the best REM coverage ever. Looks like it was a beautiful day. Harry Leitner photo credits

The REM facility benefitted greatly by the sculpting the facility got on those two different occasions thanks to Red Bull. I think the REM "back track" has grown up to be National quality in its own right but I am a bit biased having been a REM regular for years. Frank and Myra Thomason deliver year after year after year.
The pictures of the track just look awesome.

You guys have some amazing tracks, I'm jealous!
LACR having reopened to the north, Glen Helen/REM in the middle and Pala reopening in the south makes it a good time to be a SoCal MXer....not to mention the gas prices.

I am keeping my eye on an up and comer by the name of Alexander Harris and look forward to seeing his REM results. Kid is 13 five foot eleven and at other tracks around SoCal keeps up with 250s ridden by kids two to three years older than him on his 125 two stroke.. Alexander was insane in the mud at the Trans World race a couple of weeks ago.
How many CA kids do you know that can go fast in the mud?
Looking at those pics I dont see any landings to downside...
Not familiar with "landings to downside: but here is a back section not shown that fast racers can leap out of and people at me feel good just catching air coming out of. I haven't raced there since 1/4/14 (no race this year 1/3 waaaah) but on 1/4/14 the track was super challenging. Going up and down Mt Whitney is one of my favorite parts of the course next to going WFO into the back section.
That whole property is like Disneyland for off-road.

Hey in regards to the mud skills, you know as well as I do that back in our day, to even keep up at Carlsbad, you had to be a good mud racer in the morning, and a good blue groove racer in the afternoon, because old man Grismer always left the sprinklers on too long night before the races...
I always prided myself on that, it's the GH ruts that get me now in my old age...

Keith for sure REM should be on a racer's bucket list up there with Mammoth.
