DT1 filters

Has anyone ran these? Just got some and they seem like a quality product but I question their "no grease needed" seal... I have always used gas to clean my filters and the material on these looks as if gas would ruin them... Anyone have any experience cleaning these? As pricy has gas has gotten I'm sure it's not the cheapest option anymore either way.

Probably the most common filter I use, and I haven't had a single problem. Even with a few sandy/silty WORCS races from a few years ago.

Best filters on the market. I use Kerosene instead of gas.

I have one on my bike right now, works great and I have never had any issues cleaning mine with gas. It's been cleaned about 15 times now and shows no sign of wear.

Best filters that I've tried.

FYI- I haven't used grease on a filter in 20 years. Not needed, IMHO

Best filters you can run. I've used them in some really silty conditions with no grease on the lip with zero issues. Inspecting the intake boot afterward showed no signs of any material being passed through or around the filter.

Their filter cleaner works great, and so does kerosene.

I have been using their products since they first came out with the super seal technology and it works great. The filter oil on it creates a suction so that it seals just as well or better than a standard filter with grease. As far as cleaing them, I use parts solvent to get the oil out and then wash them with soapy water to make sure all of the dirt comes out and it also removes the solvent. I can get by for an entire year rotating about 5 filters. The quality of the foam and glue holds up very well over a lng period of time for me. Also, if you have any direct questions about the filter, the owners of the company are very reachable and will answer anything you need to know.

We have used them for the last few seasons and they work awesome. I would look into something else to clean them with besides gas.

Perfect thank you for all the insight guys... did not want to ruin them first wash because I used gas on them. Looks like I'm good to go!

Use Kerosene than rince off with water, better than gas IMO

I've had great luck with them this year. no need for grease and I have used gas on ours all year and they are still going strong.

Great product I never grease mine. (Sorry Paul) but I clean mine with gas first then soap and water.

Ok sounds great I need to order a batch of these filters for my bikes I have a question for you guys they have their own oil biodegradable but it looks like it's backordered

Do you guys use No Toil oil or traditional filter oil Thanks

I use no toil with no issues. I was a tried and true Twin Air user, but I thing the DT-1 filters feel way better quality.
It's all I use anymore.

I use the Maxima spray oil and spray cleaner on mine but am leaning towards NoToil for ease of maintenance. I have a giant pile of the DT1 filters at home, they are great filters for sure! It don't hurt that they are local guys who are super cool.

I also use maxima spray oil. After receiving my dt1 filters I may try their filter oil if it is anywhere near the quality of their filters it will be amazing.

Gasoline is a little hard on filters I use CRC Degreaser

Thanks Rooster, just ordered 5 filters for different bikes.
One is the TRIPLE FOAM for those dusty Dual Sport events.
Also am trying a SS Oil filter for the first time.

Everything seems to be real good quality.

Great deal.

I'm going back to traditional filter oil after my recent bad experience with no-toil. A real bummer too as I liked the concept.

Personally I'm not a fan of No-Toil, after experiencing firsthand how it does nothing to protect your motor when conditions are wet. Having to rebuild a bottom end after a tip-over in a puddle, I was not impressed (bottom end had less than 5 hours on it Angry ).

The Maxima oil based filter oil is really good in wet conditions, though I use the DT-1 oil the vast majority of the time.

Maxima FFT IMO is the best oil out there. I ordered some of the standard air filter oil thru DT-1 and they sent me two cans of Moose filter oil. it's the same blue color as Maxima but much thinner, I ended up mixing them (Maxima and Moose) together at 50/50 and I never had any issues but I'm going back to straight Maxima as soon as I'm done with this last bottle.

I've used no toil for about 8yrs, I ride nothing but deep sand, never had a problem, swear by the stuff! Order 7 DT1 filters thanks for posting that rooster

I am pretty sure DT-1 makes moose's filters and filter oil. Good stuff run them on everything but my dirttrack bike.
