if the penalty stands, lesson learned and don't let it happen again.
at the end of it all, no matter how much we argue it back and forth, i don't think there's any person out there that truly does not want to see James on the line. it's a shitty situation but it seems that he is taking the high-ground with a positive attitude.

My point is that SX is completely valid without JS7 on the gate, and these asinine statements from people that the season deserves an asterisk, isn't legit or valid, ect. is ludicrous.
Enjoy the sport, don't just be a fanboy of one rider.
Glad to see he isn't giving up!
"As in road racing, American motocross riders proved themselves on the world stage in the '80s, winning the Motocross des Nations, the world championship of team motocross, 13 years straight from 1981 through 1993. And in recent years, the AMA motocross and Supercross series have begun to attract some of the top talent from around the world to compete in this country.
What helped make that international success possible was a move by the AMA in the '60s to establish a closer working relationship with the Federation Internationale Motocycliste (FIM), the international sanctioning body for motorcycle competition. In October 1970, the AMA was accepted as the sole U.S. representative to the FIM.
Besides allowing American racers to compete in the world championships, that affiliation made it possible for the U.S. to host world-championship races. The AMA held the International Six Days Trial in 1973, and since, the U.S. has been the site of world-championships in road racing, motocross, observed trials and speedway racing.
In 2008, the AMA announced the sale of certain of its AMA Pro Racing properties to the Daytona Motorsports Group (DMG) based in Daytona Beach, Florida. The move was brought about by the need for the association to place the management of pro racing in the hands of a well resourced motorsports entertainment company. Under the terms of the sale, DMG purchased the sanctioning, promotional and management rights to AMA Pro Racing. Without the burden of pro racing, the AMA was free to refocus its resources on strengthening its amateur racing programs, as well as other member programs, and especially its advocacy for America's motorcyclists."

Then in July, we were notified by Wolfgang Srb, president of the FIM’s Motocross Commission, that FIM rules would apply to all 17 races of the FIM World Supercross Championship, including the 15 Clear Channel-promoted rounds of the AMA Supercross Series. In addition, Srb said the FIM was appointing a person affiliated with Clear Channel as race director to run the races in place of the AMA Pro Racing staff that has effectively carried out those responsibilities since the series began in 1974.
We weren’t sure what to make of that, since AMA Pro Racing doesn’t have a contract with the FIM regarding the AMA Supercross Series. The AMA, our parent organization, is a member organization of the FIM, but their relationship does not involve AMA Supercross, or any other series operated by AMA Pro Racing. Our contract is with Clear Channel, and it is very specific on these issues. So we notified Srb and the FIM that we would be adhering to our contract by sanctioning the events and officiating at them.
It wasn’t until Clear Channel began advertising the series this fall that we realized the extent to which the FIM was seeking to take over our series.
