I realize that in the city we can't hit a nig ten feet away but

"Dont turn this simple rape into a murder"

I've had at least 2 threads taken down lately for criticizing Democrats but these two are still alive and well.
What kind of sick ass decision making system to you people use here for clicking threads?

I want to say context is part of one thread. Not sure about the other comment.

If you came here to be understood or looking for logic, I'd log off and go back to a place that understands your quirks. All forums are biased and subjective.

I hear ya. I posted the other day how the Republicans took control of the Senate and it got clicked.
I made that simple statement, and then just said awsome, and it magically dissapeared ..Go figure.

Guyb has always said this forum only exists to keep non moto discussion from popping up in moto and he frowns on political and religious subject matter for the most part. The policy is pretty clear . I see a lot of members here that rarely if ever show up in the moto forum. Always thought that could get you clicked also.

Curious, where is the policy that states "political" and "religious" conversations are not allowed? And if that policy does exist why was it not enforced for such a long time? (OF era).

Of course I enjoy a good political discussion but know it gets out of hand, but so do many Moto related threads. I think there should be some tolerance for political threads if they are relevant to current topics.

I also know I click on many of the mx related ads here on Vital and buy from them...sooo..what happened to the customer is always right?! Laughing

Go to the Main Page of the forums, read the Non Moto description. The Mods might be a little more trigger happy lately, with the elections just last week, and some folks will be pissy about how things went.

Not sure if they're not allowed but there is a low tolerance for them.

Sure enough the policy posed as a question: "But how about we skip religion and politics from now on?" Laughing

Not in this thread, but it is hilarious when some dolt cries about the first amendment, freedom of speech, on a forum.

You'll see me post mostly in the Non-Moto when in the off season just because Moto is usually full of assumptions and misguided fanfare that gets misconstrued and usually turns into an online argument.

Good to see all the top riders getting rides and sponsors and keeping up with Privateers that need bikes and backing is about all I donate my two cents to when in Moto this time of year.

All the Mods seem to keep the carpet clean so to speak and need your help doing so a time or two.

Non-Moto is the core of what Fresh Dirt, Motonews, Motodrive (were about), and now Vital is about. Remove non-moto and the locals will go crazy. And there's no Free Speech on any forum.

Once too many topics on politics or religion show up, they all start getting axed. They seemingly all turn to a dick measuring contest with no real content. You just waste 5 pages hoping you get to something useful.

The comment Borg copied and pasted was in the Ferguson thread. And there is no context needed. That comment was pretty unacceptable to me. The mods don't see everything so I'm guessing they didn't see it.

If you're posting primarily in the non-moto and nothing much in moto, you don't have business being here and you're here just to stir shit up. We'll call that the Old Fart rule. Glad that guy is "gone".

The stuff that seems to make good threads are DIY projects, Business related stuff, other sporting related stuff, TV talk, and talk about hot chicks. People are pretty split about politics and religion. And there's no convincing them otherwise.

Not much moto going on right now and somehow, thanks to the non-moto section, i visit the site multiple times a day. As with any forum, people tend to get emotional. That's called being human. I will apologize to all for that particular comment, although taken into context i doubt if i disagree with the premise. Alcohol was involved, sorry.

I'm not a big fan of censorship of that kind of material because it tends to expose character and let's us know who the idjits really are......

As a Lib and a Dem i am thrilled with the outcome of the mid term election.. Why?

Because we need a few years of right wing shenanigans to remind us why we vote and when 16 comes around maybe we will put down the bong and fill out a ballot.. Its all cool.

Enjoy the circus while it lasts.

The bitch slap was neither political nor religious.

I would vote against censoring violence.

Depends which way you want the forum to head...if you click that one you may as well click " Sexy Things to Whisper In Your Lady's Ear"
There's as much discrimination in that one against women as there is slapping one.

I always dig the pet threads too. There is much more better stuff to discuss than politics and religion.

My OP was the result of a snit. There was a thread that was political but I had C/P'd a very interesting chart that belied some commonly held beliefs. I thought it was very informative and was awaiting comments from others. The thread was clicked and I was disappointed. After seeing other stuff that was a little over the top, I felt picked on and eventually whined about it.

It doesn't matter much to me that some get instantly removed while other, sometimes more toxic ones, stay. It's just odd and difficult to understand the criteria for deciding what is allowed and what isn't.

If the policy really is no religion and/or politics, then they should all be deleted (imo)...regardless of content.

Given that some stay and some go, I just throw it out there and see what sticks. No worries if it's gone, there are bound to be more similar threads that pop up.
