Yes, they break freaquently. I always bought a couple at a time and replaced when needed. I usually got a good 10-15 hrs before it broke, so it wasn't too bad, and replacement only takes 15 mins. .But yeah Deetsmx said it rite. The EG mid-top port job hauled serious ass...very, very serious..it was a 450 killer.

Realy? Women racing mx is one of the coolest things a girl can do. I hope when I get married, she's a motocrosser My perfect woman will be a republican, a motocross racer and a rock n roll rebel..
Eric Goore... Port/polish, p. v mod, cut for race gas. Finishline Racing... Isotopic gear polishing, complete bottom end rebuild. Told Mr, Goore i wanted the mo/betta, but i actually think he gave me the mid-top by the way the bike ran.. Pro Circuit pipe/silencer.. V-force, lower gearing, full Hinson.
Well I had an 05 kx 250 that was fully, fuly modified. And in its fully moded state it was awesome, awesome, awesome. Fastest bike I ever rode, and that includes my new crf 450 with exhaust, Cam, remap, lower gearing, and race gas. My kx would've eat it up in straight line acceleration. No doubt it was quick, quick...

Man, don't ride you're awesome racing bike with bent anything.. ..get that RIM replaced ASAP. I got a friend that does crap like that, and I can hear his poor bike crying out everytime its ridden.. that irritates me something fierce to see a good friend riding his bike when I know it needs a top end, a clutch, brake...

That's true. Honda's weight and good handling makes up for any 1-5 HP disadvantage it has though. It may get pulled slightly at the end of longer straights, but it gains that ground back in the turns and rough technical sections. But yeah a little more HP would be nice.. That's OK, its very easy to gain massive power on...

Agreed. I'll say tthis again for the I NEED more power people. You can spend around $2000 on the Honda to put it at the very top of the horsepower spectrum with the most powerful 450. (Actully $2000 can get you 60 HP). OR, you can spend upwards of $3200 to make the heavier 450's as light as the Honda...

I have a 14 crf 450 with a pipe, Cam, screenless filter, and remap and still want more. Can I use it.. .no, no, no way. But I still want it.. Just for the record, ... the Honda crf 450 is an excellent, excellent race bike. If anyone thinks they can't win on the Honda becuz its too slow is ignorant...

Yeah I thought the Honda would take it too. Oh well, guess ya just add a pipe and remap, maybe a Cam, to bring the power up to the top levels. But while you're at it, ya can buy a titanium bolt kit and carbon fiber everything to drop the weight of the others to that of the Honda. So...
Anyone who knows anything at all about real motocross racing, knows its not horsepower that wins races, its suspension and handling. Unless your just at a really massive, massive horsepower disadvantage, the better handling bike with superior suspension is gona be the bike that makes winning easier. And suspension superiority is pretty cut and dried, but superior handling is more...

Top 10 in super mini Ehh. Tell his parents unless he can beat most of the local pro's on big bikes at the local tracks where y'all race, then he proly dosnt have a very good chance at becoming a bonafied real pro. I've seen kids(10 yr olds), absolutely smoke some of the local pros on big bikes and just...

Pulling a massive holeshot on your 250 2t against a field of 450's. Jumping that big scary jump the first time. Coming out of a corner and aplying perfect power and your front end comes up about 3 inches and you hold it there all the way down the next straight.
