you know it man.

Danny Mac is a total talent on two wheels, that scenery in the Cuillins on Skye is epic, one of my favourite places to escape to.

Have you seen him on KTM's E version of the freeride? I think with a bit of practice he'd make an awesome hard enduro rider, pretty sure he rides a gas gas txt for shits and giggles, would like to see what he could do on an EXC given time......

They look like they're probably 28-29 inch bars. I prefer about 31.25 personally.
Edit: I like my dh bars to be close to the width of my moto bars.

How about some Grom bikes...
Here is my 3 year old Mason on his Spawn Furi 14' wheel bike. He's kicking ass on it and loves the lift acess trails at the end of our street @ Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.

Sorry to hear man - heal up.

I wish the camera crew would have done a better job as showing the severity of the Rampage venue. They had some great shots, but I don't think they did the scene justice.

In the beginning they had the commentator dude walk up to the edge of Lecondeguy's 76ft drop, but the camera didn't even walk up to the edge. Totally blew the opportunity to illustrate the gap.

I was building for Paul Basagotia. We built for 3 days I crashed riding in the afternoon one day when we got shut down for rain. Check out his helmet cam, we had a great run, building there was unreal, I've always wanted to go and got the opportunity to build and it was a dream come true.

Like you said, the cameras do nothing to do that place justice. Most places you literally cannot even walk. I just don't think there is a way to show really how steep and big and crazy that stuff is, I really had no idea until I was walking on it. Lacondeguys drop was insane, insane doesn't even describe it, his whole run was nuts, when a guy like that, doesn't want to take his second run, you know its gnarly. Paul didn't want to go off that drop and thats why we ended up going outside and I found that line and it ended up working out great with a huge canyon gap that we built that ended up being 57 feet. Being there in person is crazy, if anyone ever has a chance to go, I highly recommend it, it just a crazy thing to see in person. But check out Pauls go pro run, thats the line I kind of designed and worked on before I crashed, but my buddies finished out the build well.

Thanks for all the healing vibes guys, I really am happy as possible and just thankful to be walking, I have some really bad breaks and actually got up walked off the mountain, went back and showered before I decided to go to the hospital. Scary stuff for sure.

Paul was a good grade school friend of mine. I was stoked to see him put together some solid runs and not crash. His practice crash was pretty gnarly from his helmet cam.

Hope you heal up safely. Neck and back is no joke that's for sure.

Yep, we got shut down building at about 3 one day, the storm kind of missed the old sight so we headed over there in the evening for a riding session. Rode a bunch of stuff for about 2 hours and after the wind died down went back up to hit a drop I wanted to, Probably about 15 down 30 out. Hit it once came up a little short, and told my buddy to go faster than he thought necessary. He did, and hit it perfect. I went back up to hit it again and missed the landing by about a foot to the side and landed on a knuckle of dirt and it kind of bounced me forward and I went over the bars on and onto my head. Didn't even get knocked out just folded my neck up. Broke c1, c2, c6, c7 in my neck, and t 4-6 in my back. Got checked over by a guy I was riding with, felt all my vertebrae and I somehow had no pain when he touched everything so I hoped up and walked back off the hill.

Awesome guy, I had such a great time working with him. Do you know KC deane? He built a most of that rock roll in before you headed down the hill to the canyon gap but took a gnarlier crash than paul on the canyon gap and broke some ribs and collapsed a lung. Paul's crash was gnarly, not sure how he made it so unscathed, but I was stoked to see when he did. Super stoked on making the finals and everything too, 9th is solid and is really more like a 4th because those top 5 guys are literally on a different planet lol.

Trestle Bike Park - Winter Park, CO

Evolution Bike Park - Crested Butte, CO

Keystone Bike Park - Keystone, CO

Those are awesome videos and even more awesome scenery. Which one of the 3 was your favorite?

I travel to Dillon/Silverthorne a couple times per year for work and could bring my Trek hardtail pretty easily. Think as a beginner without a full suspension bike I'd end up dead if I tried riding Keystone?

The name sounds familiar. Top 10 is no joke at Rampage, and I agree that the top 5 are literally nuts.

I would have to say my personal favorite bike park so far is Winter Park. But all 3 parks are very different and each have their own style. Winter Park rides like a roller coaster. Fun and fast!

For a hardtail, I would definitely recommend Winter Park before Keystone. I saw the most hardtails at Winter Park for sure. Keystone was the toughest and most brutal of all of the bike parks in the area. Insanely long and rocky. Very trail-like and slower overall, and rough!

Evolution Park at Crested Butte is my 2nd favorite of the 3 parks I visited. It was flowy, jumpy and smooth, but way too short.

That's where Winter Park comes in. It is flowy, fun and smooth like Crested Butte, but long like Keystone, so I think it has the best of both worlds.

Keystone is the biggest park with the most trails, Winter Park next size-wise, with Crested Butte coming in pretty small, but with the fewest bikers to get in your way. Winter Park was the busiest, but everybody is real nice about getting the hell out of your way.

The summer seasons are short in the mountains, so plan accordingly. The bike parks all closed over the last few weeks, but the snow is on the way!
