I'm starting to get a very solid grasp of why RV may not want to race here anymore

Here is what I hope for:
1. That all the top players stay healthyand 100% prepared so we can see this battle materialize for once
2. That RV learns how not to override the GP tracks, they don`t allow for the same agressive and "pinned" style they have in the US. It could quickly lead to injury

After that: may the best man win and kudos to RV for doing it, I bet people will cheer fro him everywhere he goes! Smile
amen...

but now I gotta buy MXGP-tv coverage for the season....actually I am glad to. I still remember waiting for weeks or month to find out how the GPs were going in the early 70s (couldn't afford a pot to piss in or Cycle News eithe rback then)

Should be fun

you ever hear of a guy named conner mcgregor? he's had a grand total of 4 fights in the ufc and he's already the biggest draw dana white has. why? because he never shuts the fuck up...but does it with panashe.
I guess being a 10 time national champ, and then going to Europe to take on the multi time world champ isn't enough, he has to talk more too...

Shut the fuck up

I believe you are the one who needs to take it easy. I'm sorry that RV hurt your little heart by not talking to you but most rational people don't care.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the close GP/Japan factory ties pays more attention to the riders than the distant US teams.

I posted this on Vurbs FB page when they asked how the fans felt about him heading to the GPs.

Not only do I think it's a good move, but I'm a bigger Villopoto fan because of it. Whatever his reasoning is, he's doing something that no American Champ has done, and only a handful of GP champs have done. I think he can beat Cairoli, but I'll respect Villo even more if he loses and finishes out the entire season. The racing here will be fine, and the racing over seas will (hopefully ) enjoy an audience that includes the U.S. in 2015.

Huge respect for RV for stepping up and racing the World Championship. Everyone is on an equal playing field now with no home country advantage.,

If he wins it will be the biggest achievement of his career. Can he win the title? Yes. Will he win the title? I'm not sure but he will definitely win a lot of races, Cairoli is awesome however and it should be really close if no-one gets hurt. Paulin will be up there too...I just wish Herlings was racing MXGP next season!

The Cairoli vs RV showdown, I cant wait, as a fan of both riders, we are in for a treat. I really believe he will have an absolute battle on his hands if he wants to dethrone Cairoli. Can he do it? I guess we will see, in my opinion he is the only US rider that has a chance against AC on his turf. Now how do I sign up to watch the MXGP season Smile

I was kind of on the fence as to whether or not this would happen...

Then Kawasaki let Paulin go. There's only one rider in the world they'd let him go for.

Then Uncle posted on here, "I predict someone with Italian ancestry will win the MX1 GP Championship".

After he posted that, I knew it was a done deal.

"little thing"? stew and villy...two total opposites yet the same. stew doing scrubs in his playground on instagram every day yet says nothing. villy just ignores everybody. if i was under 30, had millions of dollars to retire with...i'd just want to do better for the fans that made it all happen. just a bit of respect.

Yeah but Villopoto is a salty grouch that doesn't seem to give a shit what people think.

I respect what he has done, but he's not a fan friendly rider. every smile seems forced and coached. The lying about racing the nationals and the dissing of major sponsor Toyota shows who the guy really is.

While I understand why you say that about RV, I couldn't be further from the truth. He is actually a very decent human and approachable, I've watched him go out of his way more than once with no one watching and no one telling him to do so... just to make someone's day.

Do we not have better things to do than guestimate motocrossers actual personalities based on what we see on TV/internet?

you may wanna speak for yourself. I love his demeanor. I love his business approach to his job. I love how he does what he wants and doesn't seem to care what other people think. And I also think he is probably way different around those that know him and I have a hard time thinking that he really hates life like everyone seems to think he does.

hammertime I cant imagine you being a bundle of joy to be around either ! Fuck charisma and smiling for the camera. I like that Ryan is real and acts like a normal person. He's one of the best riders ever ! And this is coming from a huge Dungey fan ! Its obvious that you really dislike him , but show some respect ! your making an ass of yourself.
