So Martins title, who is actually much older than Herlings and also rides a 250, isn't worth shit too, that's what you are sayin, right???

But this schoolboy already beat Vilopoto at the Nations when he was 16, SIXTEEN!!!

How many times do you need to win the jr division before moving up to the premier division?

No parity in that series at all. His sponsor shouldn't be holding him back if so I wont be a fan of that brand.

Martin won his first title just now.

I'm sick of hearing the "jr. division" crap. It is a PROFESSIONAL motocross series. Why does the kid move up? Who cares if he has been dominant, he has put the work in and according to the rules he's allowed to be there. The kid is barely 20 years old, he has plenty of time to take on the MX1 class.

Villopoto has won SX the past 4 years in a row, no one seems to complain about that. Cairoli has won the past 5 years as well.

In the premier division you cant go any higher all you can do is find new challenges and try to win in a different series

One man is stepping up to do that so it seems..

The point is, all this sandbagging talk is ridiculous. He is racing a professional series and he is still a kid. He will move up in time.

Best wishes to JH this weekend. Hope he stays out of trouble and gets enough points to get the job done. I'd really hate to see him lose it like this.

Are you really comparing Martin in his rookie full year against the US national series where at least 15 riders can win on a given day to Herlings racing for the 3rd year against a field where they are lucky if 15 riders show up.

Haha, do you know who beat herlings in that race? Paulin! Rv's laptime was quickest, but he was 11th after the firstlap. You cant compare.... Villopoto only just turned 19 when he waxed the field at nations on a 250.... One thing gp's guys need to consider americans cant turn pro till 16.... Where as in europe kenny and jeffrey could turn pro earlier.....

I think you really can compare them, because of their age. A kid is a kid, the other one just started dominating earlier. He has plenty of time to move up. And why would you say that in the US nationals there are 15 guys that can win? I think the actual winners list last year is quite short. Allthough I do agree, that the field is deeper in the AMA (fuck Luongo and his way of managing the GPs), I still think that JH84 is one of the fastest MX riders in the world today. I was at the Finnish GP and he just raped the track, it was unbelievable to watch him in person.

I wish that riders could ride multiple classes like they did in the past, and all the class champions would get the appreciation they deserve. (It was very cool to see Windham do 250 outdoors!)

As for my predictions, I say just barely enough to win the title (atleast I hope so).

Regardless of what happens in Mexico, he should be in the MX1 class next year.

I'll make it easy for you, just give me 10 names of riders that 'can win' whatever that means...

In MX2 there's also a big group of guys that can win, IF Herlings is not there, we saw that in the last 3 GP's. And you're right, in these oversees GP's like Brasil and Mexico the field is very VERY small, but normally there are around 30 riders in the MX2-class. (although that's still not the 40 Yoputhstream promised).

It's not his problem that he's just that much faster than they are.... And again, he wanted to move up in 2015, but KTM doesn't and he still has a 1 year contract, so he just has to do what they want.
I would love to see him on a 450 too, for sure, but you can't blame the kid for that, blame KTM

Guy comes back from breaking his femur 6 weeks ago and you're all still giving him shit. No respect. Shame he didn't come to Unadilla and show how fast he really is. Oh well, there's always 2015.

exactly! typical of this place though. If the kid was american then they would all be acting like he was the 2nd coming of jesus christ!

its not his fault that he's so much better than everyone else. I agree that I would like to see him race mx1 (whilst rv is there) or even go stateside for a season, but its his choice.

Herlings is an absolute animal for even trying to race this weekend- i just hope he doesnt injure himself any worse! regardless of the result or where he is racing next year- i just want to see him racing!

To all of you Vitards claiming the World Championship series is a joke, why aren't you also aiming your venom at Ryan Villopoto for ducking out of his competition in the US in 2015 and supposedly coming to Europe to "cherry pick" an "easy" world title?
I guess it's a prestigious title, something for RV to aspire too, when it suits your biased viewpoint!Wink

If you have a rider missing four rounds and can win he is the sandbag king if he dont move up. No pairity at all pathetic...

Using this logic where do you go when RC and JS take every moto win in a season?

And how many SX races were left when RV blew his knee out? 4 ?

I am not saying it's good that JH did what he did and I really want to see racers take it to him but its certainly something to be celebrated, not trashed, it's an achievement over those around him.

You can't belief how fast he is when you didn't see him in real with your own eyes!
I saw jh racing and was thinking its not possible wat's happening i am dreaming.
It looks like the rest of the field is slow but they aren't.

Mate, I think most of the people moaning about JH sandbagging do so because he can move up a grade if he chooses.

RC & JS could not.

yes I know but it's entirely stupid - fact is he is better than those in his class, much like the others.

every body calling him out has no idea about his KTM contract, his wishes (sure he posted that he wanted to move up but was told no), his expectations, it's daft, he is a bloody teenager FFS.

so when he rains it down on the 450 class he will get called out for not crossing the pond I guess?

Time to move up.
You have obviously never tried to, or achieved greatness in your life, otherwise you would understand that the fact that he is the best does not make the title meaningless.

I'm just happy that the kid exists so that, as a motocross fan, I can enjoy his riding.
I have to give him a massive amount of credit for riding Mexico. Anyone who's disregarding that and just complaining that he is still riding MX2, is a total douche! It's as simple as that.

We have people busting Blake Baggetts nuggets about moving up all the time and he is good but far from dominate.
Nobody is disrespecting JH he is killing the second tier title.
Jeremy Martin just won our second tier title and was convincing but not dominat.
If he wins it the next year our rules force him up.
If he could race after two titles it would get old.

JH is mxgp second jewel and a fantastic rider he can only shine so bright in the second tier class.

Impressed at the grit and determination it takes to come back so quickly... Good on him, hope it doesn't backfire........
He probably healed so quickly due to his physical fitness prior to the injury.. . Sandbags are flipping heavy, you would be in incredible shape sandbagging so much!

You would think so, but Baggett and Musquin have managed to carry them pretty well for the last few seasons and they're both skinny as hell.
