Looks like they are still working out a tire sponsor. Rear fender sides, and fork guards are lookin empty. Awesome looking bike though!

Grants got the speed..Let's hope Reed makes him train hard. With some good training he could do some damage.

Maybe now Grant will have somebody dead serious like Reedy to kick his butt into gear. I think Josh has a lot more to give than he's shown anybody in the last few years. Maybe being on a great bike, and on a great team with a guy like Chad will bring out his potential.

Pumped for Grant and Reed. Hope everything stays cool between them. Hate to see Grant get pissed because Chad's pushing him, or Chad get pissed because he doesn't think Grant's giving it his all. Mixing business and friendship can be a huge positive or a huge negative depending on the personalities involved.

I am glad that Grant had a good year but why would Reed be able to kick his butt into gear, if all the factory teams he was on before could not do it why could Reed. I think Grants good results come more from fear that he is on his last chance and a steady pay check, that would scare anyone straight.

I think there could be more accountability on Reed's team. Working for a factory team with tons of money could feel like you're just a puppet in a game of theirs but with Reed's team, it's Reed's money and I think Grant would want to make Reed feel like he made a good decision more so than a factory. Just my $.02.

Josh Grant's results have never been that bad. What do you expect out of him? To be like Villopoto? He's done fine, if you remember correctly he did have back to back torn ACL's and a few other shoulder injuries. I think he did good this year, and will be a top 5 threat on TwoTwo.

I bet JGR is the team that pushes the hardest and asks the most from the riders. After the year Grant had I am surprised JGR didn't sign him again because he had a really good out door season.Grant has always been fast and could win but for the most part he was consistent this year as apposed to years past.

I think Josh might be a whole lot like Chad in that he doesn't take much shit or instruction from somebody he doesn't respect or who hasn't been in his shoes...wrong or right. Chad has said many times that he hated the "pressure" of being on a factory team with all the politics and BS that goes on...and maybe JG is the same way. Chad being a friend & a veteran championship racer, as well as the guy that signs his check might give him more of a "right" to speak personally to Josh, where a team manager at another team might not...or Josh might give Chad the respect that he might not give somebody else.

I wonder if his contract with TwoTwo is performance-based?

If Grant can keep the ball rolling like he did last year and keep from getting hurt I think he could have his best year ever. I think sometimes you have to get older to understand that he wont be able to race at this level forever so make some money while you can.

Based on what I've read, I doubt if Chad will give two hoots about Grant as long as he doesn't embarrass the team or knock Chad down on the track.

It isnt like hes got a huge investment in Grant, Grants just renting a spot under the tent so to speak. Or do I have that dynamic of the business deal wrong?

Hasn't Chad been holding out for a "contender" to join him on the team? I seem to have seen somewhere that the Grant & Reed families are friendly what with all the kiddos and stuff. I don't see Josh as anything close to a title contender, but maybe it's a combo of being a friend and being more affordable than a front runner that did the deal. But I think you're right in as much as Reed won't be jumping his butt for anything unless he's an embarassment.

Grant had with out a doubt his best/most consistant year in 2014. I think it would be cool to see him stay injury free all offseason and ride up to his potential. He is one of the very few guys who, on a good day, can heads up win. Those days are few and far between but when he is on, hes on. If he can make those magical rides happen 3/4 times a season rather then the current once a year-ish then he is well deserving of a ride.

oh I dont know, if Grant is healthy and on his game, then potentially he is a viable threat as a title contender....but then I could say that about 9 other guys out there :-)

Pure speculation here, but is Toyota (sticker on his helmet) the major sponsor JG is bringing to TwoTwo? I have no idea if they'll still be sponsoring JGR, but it'd be a major coup for Chad if Grant brought them along for the ride.

I noticed that too, my guess is he is just running am old helmet. Maybe he will be sponsored by Toyota personally but I doubt Toyota will pull out of JGR being that their nasecar team is in Toyota.

I think they're still working that stuff out. I know Josh loves having Toyota as a sponsor.

Yes, you have that dynamic of the business deal wrong !

Where do you guys get this kind of stuff ? Sometimes, it's actually funny when this kind of stuff gets posted. Then again... Sometimes it's not !
