It's a lost art these days. I can't remember a "race whip" in the 450 class since Carmichael was on a 250 2-stroke.

RC's rookie season in the 125 East Coast SX (Atlanta). In his quali, he got about a 6th-8th place start. When the pack came around to the first triple, RC threw the most wicked whip (at that time) that I'd ever seen. The crowd went absolutely nuts. He ended up winning the qualifier, and afterward he was being interviewed by (I think) Jamie Little. She asked him about that first-lap whip. "Were you trying to correct correct the flight of the bike in the air?", she asked. He said, "nah, I was just trying to get the crowd fired-up". Again, the place went nuts.

Okay...I was wrong. I was thinking last lap whip. Didn't canard scrub under reed a year or two ago?

There was one Stewart did (kind of on accident) a few years back at Daytona where he scrubbed in about 3 foot tall rhythm whoops.
