Now that every insect that can crawl has come out and said every possible nasty thing you can imagine about JS7 for weeks, you are going to start reigning things in?

I'm sure you don't see all the stuff that gets clipped.

Earlier in the thread I also said that we need to boost the level of respect here. That goes for all threads.

When I'm driving around the country (like I did for two-and-a-half months earlier this summer), I can't babysit everything that happens here. It's time to rein in some of the comments, and it has to start somewhere.

I love how this type of post isn't tolerated when really it's the TRUTH but all of the drug test conspiracy talk is allowed. I'm a Grant/JRG fan but he's right.

The Josh Grant and Davi Millsaps situations have been commented on by Matthes and he gets blasted for it but I commend him for having the balls to speak up on it. Even people who rarely say negative things like Weigandt and Thomas echoed what a mess and how fishy the Millsaps situation was. This guy didn't even accuse them of anything like faking an injury, just merely expressed his frustrations in their inconsistency and he's going to get clipped for that. Doesn't seem right to me IMO.

I think he's had a good year and it would be cool to see him team up with cr22. At the end of the day it's a business decision for chad. He's gotta do what's best for him and two two racing. I've been hard on grant over the years, but nothing like what's posted here....some of you guys are brutal on the guy, a guy that won a moto earlier this year. It's like others have said....you hire a rider for potential to win, and grant has proved he has that, and still has it.

Yup....everyone has an opinion, and from what I see and understand it's cool to come here and voice it, I mean that's kinda what the forum is for right? Bench racing. But it's not cool to try and see who can outdo each other when it comes to bagging on a rider. There's being critical, and then there's just being an ass hole.

Edit....also, what really blows me away is the narcissism in some of the posters, it's almost as though they feel like everyone is looking at them, everyone comes here to read their stuff and only what they write, acting as though their posts are the only ones that matter, and contributing very little. Starting off posts bashing riders by saying....I'm a huge fan of this guy or that guy, but I think he's a mother effing, piece of &@$#, %+#& sucking, douchebag....but I've always liked the guy and stood up for him, just go back and read all 4000 of my posts and see if ive ever said anything bad about this guy or that guy. Seriously??? C'mon....

I agree with you 100% Guy B. I know several companies that would sign up for a 6 or 12 month advertising deal with Vital if it wasn't because of this forum who blasts everyone and every company that supports the riders and the sport but get hammered on so fast in the forum its stupid... U rarely see any positive posts by anyone in the forum.. Good comment or bad comment, the blasts are still there and If I was a company who would wanna spend their money on this website when they get hammered on any post they make? Theres no control whatsoever and the forum is just a pride thing...Watch as I get blasted on for even this comment..

This website would kick ass if the forum was taken down...

Have Aaron write a ratings system whereby people can rate people's posts. That cumulative average appears under their location for all to see.

A Shame meter. If it drops below a certain point they get can an auto- timeout.

Bodybuilder.com calls theirs a Reputation meter

We've tossed that around quite a few times. I think it's on the list for development, but I'm not sure exactly where. In the big picture, we're continuously developing our platform for all three sites (MX, MTB, and BMX). Of the three, I think MX has the most popular forum.

i spend quite a bit of time browsing the MTB side of Vital, their content on the home pages and stuff is awesome (as is the VitalMX home page content). the forums are very quiet and it sure as hell doesn't seem like everyone that posts there hate mountain-biking... the moto side seems like most of these guys generally don't like the sport. just my .02
