Bunch of riders to cheer for definitely, but to me the GP series ( in TV) looks boring, slow, but I know the speed is there. Last week I was in Loket and there was such a great racing in MX2 class, but in TV it was not that good. To be honest, in TV, AMA series looks 10 times better compared to GPs. IMO. Without the doubt, great racing on the both sides of the pond.

Last time team USA put its wheels on that specific track, they were the ones looking like local vets !
Just sayin'...

That track makes everyone look somewhat slow because the sand is deep, 450's look like 125's sometimes because it definitely sucks hp. I hope they have another MXDN there, or Lierop.

Yeah , Covington managed to get lapped in both races , so he might be the new Blake Baggett.

I personally like Lierop better because of the history there, and how it kinds runs in and out of the forest. Lommel is just some vacant land in a industrial park, sorta weird spot.

At least with GP's you get one ad break during a 35min + 2 lap race, unlike US coverage which must have long ad breaks every 8 minutes or so! Both are great tracks and organised well but to keep interrupting coverage for ads is crazy!

That is a country thing, in Aus here during the Nationals I am pretty sure we don't have any ads during the race, maybe 1.

Anyone have archive links to the GP's?

Everything I see on Youtube seems to be just 2-4 minute highlights.

I'm not sure you understood what Outsider meant Xavier. I guess it was more about the TV coverage being really average and boring which is true and Malin can't do anything for that. The sound is horrible, the cameras not where they need to be, to me it's a mess and doesn't look professionnal production wise...

Cairoli reminded us one thing at this GP. If indeed RV is entering the GPs, It will be no joke to beat him. Tony has a margin. Did you see in that first moto, when Paulin came close, he looked back, and boum, he was gone. Dude has everything to win championships. Maybe not the dedication of some americans (Villo, Tomac etc...) but he's got the all the rest of the package. He's fit, smart, and fast as hell...

I don't think any legitimate motocross fan would disagree with this.

Of course, what I really wanted to point is the fact that he can adapt to the competition and knows when it's needed to take risks or play it cool...

This is the truest thing ever , because he can win by a minute , doesn't mean he does... one race earlier in the year , he made a mistake and ended up third, and went out and destroyed them in Moto 2.. the idea of racing is to win at the slowest possible speed LOL..

All I know is that is a bad ass track and those boys haul ass in the sand. I'm not sure I would want to ride it but I would sure love to see it live.

if you are intimidated by the thought of riding lommel when its super rough like it is at the gp- then go there on a tuesday when it opens at mid day. They grade it on a monday- the track is like a freeway for the first hour or so that it is open! then gets progressively worse as the week goes on (ending up like it is at the gp by the end of the week)

dont ever go there friday-sunday if you dont like riding brutal rough sand tracks!!!

Badass. It's photos like this that remind me just what a gnarly sport this is, and just how tough the competitors are.

It was the opposite when I was there last summer and fall. Saturday it was all groomed and by Tuesday/ Wednsday that is when I saw AC, Ice One guys, Herlings, JVH, Leok etc.

I'm not quite sure what or how people see it really, there's something that differs in the coverage and camera work, one thing I noticed, apart from the commentry,is the sound,in the AMA coverage the bikes are LOUD which definately adds to the atmosphere!

Lommel is pretty unique and rides a lot slower than others like a but damn there was some excellent racing,MX2 delivered yet again

Where people are from will determine how they favour/see each series though, growing up with the GP's I just about take them as my preferred series although I think both are awesome Smile

I actually enjoy very much the second motos with Paul ans Adam.

Maybe the fact that you only watch half of the moto with the nats coverage makes you feel like it was more eventful.

About the camera placement... they did not expect Paulin to hit the quad, thats for sure....

I'm sorry guys, I didn't want to start the same old bullshit again!!! I was talkin' just about the TV coverage, nothing about the speed, riders etc.

de Reuver still strong in the sand, he crashed saterday, and wanted to keep hem in hospital over night. but he wanted to ride on sunday. than 10 and 5, 6 overal (partimer and oldest one in the mx1)

And his starts. not on the gate, but a bit later, crossing the start field behind everyone to the inside line.
