Hasn't he done that approach already?

I would add this to the list. Bubba has more distractions:

- Seven
- His AM Motocross National

I believe he still loves winning races. That said, his legacy is now giving back to the sport he loves. I do believe these drug BS wore him out.

Apparently he forgot his Wheaties and Amino powder too. I at least expected a "James has checked out OK and will be at Washougal this weekend" by now.

The Stewart camp has always been tight lipped when it comes to injuries or "other" off the track stuff....... Personally I am a big supporter of James....the skills, talent and achievments on the bike alone speak for themselves....James has had a roller coaster of a year and career...there is always "something" overshadowing the dude.....He had a great run during SX....came in a little off during MX and was gaining momentum with the 1-1 at High Point ....then the carpet was pulled out and things have been a mess.....He was top 4 at millville in moto one only to fall back to almost 20th place and ended up 7th.....2nd moto who knows what happened, but James has always been emotional and maybe the alleged crash in the whoops prior to restart just took the wind out of his sails for the day.... If he was disoriented - then by all means get off the track.......watching the broadcast and hearing that he pulled off...I immediatley said... " thats all she wrote for this season".... he is out of the title chase and has the WADA thing to deal with and its time to hit the refresh...I'll be suprised if we see him on the gate at Washougal or any other races this year......I hope I am wrong......

There was no crash in the sand whoops. If you watch the footage from the first start he is about 6-7th place after that section. He loses a few spots to Peick and Metcalfe, and Roczen during rest of the first lap but was still in 9th when the riders roll past the finish line red flag. If there was a lap one crash while the pack was still bunched together he would have been much further back at the red flag.

I have no facts to bring to the table, but if DownSouth is right & there was no wreck, resulting in a concussion or injury to cause his lightheadedness & disorientation...it sounds like the effects of detoxing from his medication. If he's taken it since 2012, as he stated in the short blurb he released to the press a while back, then having to come off cold turkey + the added mental & emotional stressors he has had to pile onto dealing with the attention disorder he has...it has to be rough. Not nut hugging or band-aiding for James, but hell...he's human like you & me, and I'd hate to go through all that.

Like most everybody here except the very obvious haters, I hope Stewart can find an answer & do some more winning like he's still capable of. I don't think he'll go out this way...but might at the end of the season after he shows the world what he's made of.

lol. Where did the whoop-crash rumor come from? You can see James on-screen almost the entire first lap. Loses a spot to Metcalfe at the 180 thru the whoops, to Weston exiting them, Roczen gets him on the runway to the Chadapult, and then he manages to hold position till the red flag.

As we're watching the lead pack descent Mt. Martin, you can see Stewart in the b-ground crest the crest and sort of veer weirdly to the right in doing so, and take an extremely out-of-the-way line down the right side of the hill. He definitely looked uninspired in his riding.

I agree, getting caught with PEDs in his system is a big deal and could force him to retire if he has to sit out the SX season, dont think he has many more seasons left and if he cant ride next year he may be done. He has lawyers who are paid to handle it but I bet he is still worried, and he should be. Unsure

I like James and I'm completely rooting for him to come back swinging and win some motos.... but we say this exact same thing every single season. "James needs to regroup and get his head on straight and come back better than ever." It gets kind of old hearing that every season because it just doesn't work. I don't know what's wrong with him, no one really does. But it's obvious he doesn't need to do what he's done the past couple years.

Except this year he actually did get his head on straight and come back better than ever. Or at least his best since 2009. He lost the SX title the same way he always lost to Carmichael years ago, in his "prime": being as fast or faster throughout the series, and having a few bad rounds. Based on what I saw this year in SX, I'd say Bubba needs to do for 2015 exactly what he did for '14, because it's working. Losing a title to the likes of Carmichael or Villopoto is almost inevitable, no matter who you are.

Really? how many next seasons does he get?
How many next seasons does: Weimer, Short, Alessi, Metcalf, Barcia, Milsaps, Brayton, Grant, Wilson.....on and on ...get?
Stewart has done more than 99.9% of the guys that line up have done. But they all get a pass cause they aren't James Stewart - The single most popular, but polarizing figure in the sport of motocross.
You WANT him to come back like he was, but he owes you nothing.
He could walk away today and hold his head high, the top one percent of all the guys who have ever raced motocross in the history of the sport. If he reads Vital, sees the type of shit heads that call themselves fans of the sport, it would make him want to walk away. I know I would.

Really? I guess I'm comparing with the freaking extreme withdrawal symptoms I suffered when I abruptly stopped taking Xanax 15-years ago. Heck, for over a week I couldn't concentrate, couldn't put a sentence together, couldn't spell & had a horrible time sleeping...if I slept at all. It was the worst thing ever...and I've gone through the cold turkey process with several things before. I would think that anything that causes an increase in the ability to concentrate & maintain focus to battle ADD/ADHD might have its own brand of withdrawal symptoms when someone abruptly stops taking it after being on the drug consistently for almost three years. But, I'm no doctor, or pharmacopeia expert...so what do I know.

All I do know is that James' riding has suddenly deteriorated since all this crap has gone down. Is it because he's suddenly stopped taking it? Is it because of pressure? James Stewart is always under pressure. Is it anxiety over what might be the result of the ruling? Is the stress & incredible scrutiny of the press the cause? No clue here. But one thing is for sure...He's not the same rider we saw dominate the field at Hi-Point.

I don't know that I agree with that. If you take high doses and stop all at once, there can be physical withdrawal symptoms.

Davis101, xanax is a disaster to get off n god bless ya for doing it. Adderal on the other hand isnt no wheres near as hard. I have add/hd and im on adderal.15mg/ 3 x a day. If u u miss a day or even a week its not gna give u a physical withdrawl. I think js7 just feels defeated right now. Pretty much the world of moto is against him. Weather the right/ people didnt follow the proper guidlines or not, thats a big f/up. And hes the one who has to deal with it.im sorry but people are cruel , n i feel sorry for him.if adderal is what he is sopposably guilty of i think its commecical and all the internet pro's that only no how to ride there sofa, need to get with it. Its ashame like js7 or not hes done more for this sport than the majority of pass champions him n mcgrath n rc4 pretty much opened all the doors to this sport .

rocketsocks26, it was broadcasted over the track radio signal that he wiped out in the whoops on the first lap, we were on the hill but a dude pulled his ear buds out and told a bunch of us he was out before the second 450 gate dropped. bummer

It depends on the type of ADHD meds. My son is on meds for ADHD and there are certain ones that need to tapered off of and there are others that are out of your system in less than 24 hours. Depends on the cocktail, I guess. Just as there are XR and immediate delivery types. It is a total guess (like most of the posts regarding James' medication debacle) on what type he was using and whether or not there would be any associated withdrawal symptoms...

Maybe he's seeing a physician about the cumulative effects of all the concussions he's had over the years?

Could be.

This makes too much sense for vital though.
