I passed along some news that I learned yesterday. I also try to keep the peace here. I guess that's my agenda.

Your Wikipedia source addresses some of the questions presented. It does not say how long the process takes, nor, does it say it will all disappear. I don't make this comment other than to observe that there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer. Rightly or wrongly, the legal system seems to have imposed the rule.
I doubt we have enough history or data to really answer the question regarding gender reassignment having an advantage in MX. Aside from the issue of muscle mass, there are also many other developmental differences between the sexes starting in vitro on. Since the real focus of all of this is to insure a level playing field in the various classes, non gender classes are probably something to be seriously looked at.
The reality of all this, is that regardless of the way it plays out, the results will always be in question. The rider in question is basically in a no win situation. Obviously, the hormone therapy has had some effect on muscle mass making it difficult to meaningfully compete in the other classes and yet regardless of outcome the rider will be subject to criticism for participating in the women's class. I suspect it is not the first time the rider has faced this or other similar dilemmas
Just some thoughts . . . . I sure don't have a good answer to this one anymore than having an answer to the wisdom of doing everything science is capable of.
I mean, if the dude/chick is still winning local A races then obviously he/she isnt losing any of the physical advantages he/she/it was born with.
Why does everything have to be so damn PC? Maybe the dude/chick didnt get the sex change so he/she could win at LL's, but obviously he/she is still benefiting from it.
Maybe Ill go to LL's and race the 50'cc class because my friends say I act like a 5 year old. I mean sometimes I feel like a 5 year old, and if you oppress me with your age-ism Ill petition the race and hold a rally with all my fellow 25 year old 5 year olds.
That'll show em

Maybe I should dust off the MTB and give it a try in these here modern times. I'll bet I could podium!
I want my cake and eat it the way I want also.
Basically, I think you should be racing the gender class you were born with until you reach the age specific classes. Born a male, you should NEVER be able to race any Women's specific class. It all goes back to the hormones. If a post-op cuts back on the hormones, the male testosterone will kick back in, thus increasing the ability to build muscle mass, unlike a naturally born female.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if none of the other 42 women even showed up at the line.
James Stewart, who has done so much for the sport in terms of riding abilities, being a role model for black riders, contributing to youth development with his schools, gets banned from supercross for taking a doctor prescribed medication (whether or not it was performance enhancing is up to you), and some transgender dude/chick is completely fine to openly cheat because of how he/she/it "feels" it was born.
Friggin madness man, madness.
She just may beat him straight up, but we will see.
I know that Danielle's entry has been protested from the first day of qualifiers for LL's and still is entered. At one point last week that name was dropped from the entry roster and now it's back in place.
As Guy B has pointed there is no guarantee Danielle will win. Sounds like she’s already the LL champ according to you guys (and gals), I’ll bet Ms., Tricker, Markelon, Felicio and Hodges will have something to say about that.
Sounds like the most epic class this year at the Ranch won’t be the Pro Sport, B, 25+ or one with an old Honda in it…2014 is all about the Women Class, for that I thank you Danielle.
Good luck to all of you in the Womens Class.
