DeDyker is too unreliable too make a long term deal with ... speed is there one day and not the next.. Shaun Simpson ought to get a shot on a better ride , but he likes doing his own thing too much... hence not staying on factory KTM back in the day.

Febvre will be good on a 350 for sure , Karro is fast between crashes , but that only gets you so far.

I get the feeling DeDyker is out.

Hey he could go in with Philippaerts,

Team would now be known as KDDDP199 Yamaha?

Contracts can be brought out you know....not saying it is going to happen, just saying it could

anstie and dixon ....

Will Dixon get support from Yamaha in 2015? I have my doubts with the way things are going at the moment.

Don't know if there are teams who wil take the risk to work with Anstie.

questions have to be asked about the dixons mechanic/ engine builders? how many mechanical failures can one team have in a season?!!! was always one of the best teams in the paddock but this year they've had a hell of alot of problems. Looked like they would challenge for the title early on but had nothing but problems since!!! hope they have a better year next year

One thing that is quite clear here is that there are too many riders and not enough teams, which is unfortunate. Is there going to be room for riders like Jens Getteman, or even Rui Goncalves and Xavier Boog? In a way it's positive; every team is going to have a great rider, which may help them acquire some more sponsorship. But, I fear for the guys in the second tier.

all part of the problem with guiseppes system! Rider numbers likely to drop even more when these types of riders cant get a ride anymore- probably likely to race in national championships with smaller teams and not bother with gps anymore just like alot of riders do in the maxxis (british champs)

Yep, a real shame. If each factory team starts to run three guys it would help, but some great riders are still going to miss out, and some careers will be cut short.

I don't follow the GP extremely close (watch a few races, check on points, that type of thing) so I'm not very knowledgeable about the GP teams. With that being said, I've always been curious as to how the travel expenses, budget, etc. stack up for a GP team? Any of you guys that follow the series closely have any idea?

I wouldn't be surprised if Covington would get let go after this year. His performance hasn't been too good (17th in points, only missed one race).

I think Covington will be there another year, as long as he wants to be. When I spoke to him at the British GP, he was aware that this was a learning year, and history indicates he will be much better next year.

So looks like Honda going hard after Herlings for 2016 then, given thats when his contract is up with KTM. Makes sense too, going to be interesting to see how fast that dude goes on a 450.

Not as long as Mr. Covington hands over those big Monster Energy cheques (notice the euro spelling)...

I think Guillod is too old for Honda, since in recent interview Mr Gariboldi said that they want someone young (even younger than Gajser) for team. So Zaragotha can be quite good guess.

8 riders having to go out of MX2 makes Covington worth taking money off.. the proper good guys will have the pick of the rides , but after those 4 or 5 , finding someone with talent and money is a bonus.

Max Nagl to Husqvarna. They might have 3 riders and one of them Tom Waters.

Kawasaki waiting info about Villopotos doctors and Paulin will take Nagl Honda.

Yamaha will have second rider Shaun Simpson(not confirmed yet)

Tixier will go to CLS Kawasaki and Paul Jonas will take his seat.

This was talk in pits at GP of Finland.

Seems only place for Searle is now STR KTM.

There were also Bengtsson from Sweden KTM 350f who did run fastest qualifing time and was in top 6 both races untill faded little at the end. This was his second race so i would take him to my team anytime.

Thanks.

But I don't see Searle going for 2015 with a "second choice" team yet.

Shocker. Brit thinks Simpson should get a ride.

haha....

I'm surprised Frossard is supposedly quiet. He's been alright this year hasn't he?

Why shouldn't Simpson get a ride he's a constant top 10 rider great out of the gate and gives 110% every race he deserves a good ride

7/13/2014 11:57pm

Searle will probably go to Kawi if RV doesn't or get the second factory Honda ride? I can't see him on a second tier team just yet, but next year is a big year for him. He has to start performing and getting podiums.

Where is Bobby going next year? I'm surprised he or Frossard won't get the second factory Yamaha slot.

The talent in MXGP next year is scary.
