Sure seems to be the case (not racing KTM)...Man Kawasaki (if that is where DM18 ends up) sure is rolling the dice....Davi has not been on the track in over a year.....going to be intersting to see if he puts in better results than Weimer by the time he gets on the gate

I think Davi could take another year off and still be a better choice than Jake. As good as Weims is he just has no attack mode and seems to get frustrated easily. I hope Jake lands somewhere decent, Maybe a change of color will do him some good.

He already has a ride for next year. If villopoto leaves, maybe.

I think that part of Weimer's problem is his attitude. He is always so negative and down on himself. I can't imagine that helps him. Confidence and state of mind plays such a huge role in this sport, he has to be doing himself a diservice. Hopefully he turns it around.

Why are people so sure he won't be riding a KTM this year?

Davi had that awesome SX season in 2012 or was it just last year? He accredited that to a healthy and productive off season. If he's healthy right now, and has from now till SX to train and stays healthy, he'll be in really good shape. Kawi needs to structure their deal accordingly but I think Davi has more potential than Weimer and I'm a big Weimer supporter. Just looking at it objectively.

He got second in the standings both 2012 and 2013 and has been out for a long time bore. He'll be fine!

I think(like stated above) that the time off will only help him(Davi). Not being a part of the moto war all summer should have him ready for sx.

Better results than weimer? Is this some sort of a joke? Davi will be top 3 in points by the end of sx next year, stamp it.

Jake weimer is a GREAT rider, who has 0 confidence in himself against the best in the world, and it shows.

Ok Man, he has had more chances than Brad Pitt at a strip club and has come up NADA...Times have changed...and he
has missed the window.

He hasn't completed an outdoor season since his rookie year on the 450 in 2006 where he got 3rd. SX is another story for him...maybe he should look for an SX only deal.

Davi has lost a lot of respect from other riders and he's lost many fans for his fake injury actions. Some times you gotta nut up and do stuff you don't want to do (ride a ktm). He simply couldn't, and he will never be in the category of a top contending rider.

I have a couple ties to the industry, so yes, I suppose that would be the case.

O course he does. MX is his job. Mountain biking is a hobby.

The whole Millsaps situation is turning comical. If he doesn't race on a Rockstar KTM, surely that will only hurt him, as he will not have lined up on a gate in a year and a half by the time that Anaheim 1 rolls around. You would think he would suck it up, just to get some race time under his belt.

The thing that is telling to me is that there has been absolutely no pictures of him riding recently, which indicates he is in no rush at all.

I wonder if at this point, it's not a mutually agreed upon thing that he doesn't race the KTM.
