Regardless it is inexcusable that with James resources and the huge posse following him that he failed to have a qualified person in his corner to be on top of this. I hate to see him go anywhere.....he is by far the most entertaining rider on the track
You do know this test is from SX, not outdoors. So if the assumption is that RV was juicing. wouldn't he have been caught during SX? If I recall he raced all the SX races and even won the title. Hard to do if your hiding out isn't it?
•The athlete would experience significant health problems without taking the prohibited substance or method
•The therapeutic use of the substance would not produce significant enhancement of performance, and
•There is no reasonable therapeutic alternative to the use of the otherwise prohibited substance or method.
What did they do?
The rules from these tests are very simple....are you on or taking any medications? Yes / No. If it's yes, what is it? If it's on the 'banned' list, have you filled out the proper paperwork? If no, then piss should come out clean.
I hope for James sake and the sport this gets resolved...but I still don't understand how something like this happens with a multimillion dollar athlete so many depend on. In other sports, it's very black and white.
Lance was a cheater, systematically doping and bullying team mates, support staff into keeping the whole thing quiet.
James knew the rules, or at least someone on his team, man friends etc should have realised they needed to complete a TUE prior to getting caught. It will be interesting to see what the Thunder Valley test results, both blood and urine show?
First offence yes, and punish to him... rightly so. To exclude him from the current outdoor series will be a serious harm for the rest of the championship.
I for one am a huge James fan and long time supporter of him and his family. I dont support doping at any level. If they go ahead and exclude him from the current outdoor series he then should retire and walk away from the sport. As for myself if they exclude him then they can shove the sport up their bums. Ill go an watch road racing.
Who were you referring to?
Pit Row
" You wish it would have been RV "........really? Well guess what you piece of shit....it wasn't. Who were you referring too if not RV that " ran off ".......don't sit there and beat around the bush , grow some balls and put a name to your accusations.
I've spent a lot of time off this board as of late because of some of the down right stupid shit people put up here. Today....you and that Lamecake guy win the prize.
Bottom line....if James had a prescription , and the FIM let's it slide.....then good for him! I don't want to lose the guy in this sport. If he didn't??........well then , let the cards fall where they may. And that goes for any rider who gets busted.
