Man... Some people just don't get it. Do you really think feld or the ama gives 2 shits if their riders use PED's or smoke weed? Do you really think any professional organization does? Seriously. I don't know how people can be so stupid. They do not care if you take a substance that makes you bigger, faster, stronger. They do not care if you smoke weed. They do not care if you gain an advantage over other people who don't use them. All they care about is covering their own organization. Is that a terrible thing? They have to do this. It's 2014, not the 1970s. All these morons complaining about testing would be the first to torch feld if one of these riders went awol at the track and started blowing people's heads off and it was found out that he was taking elicit drugs . Do you not understand drugs affect each and every individual differently? Feld HAS to test. Don't blame them. Blame all the sue happy people in this country.

Here's a scenario for you. JS loses a race, he gets pissed and grabs a shot gun he had shacked up in his semi. He comes out and blows RV's brains out. Walks over to RD and KR's trailer and blows their brains out. In this scenario, feld has taken all the proper producers to test their riders for drugs. Stewart never failed one. He has no history of drug abuse. It's over, feld is in the clear. No one can say they didn't take the proper procedures.

Now, scenario number 2. The exact same thing happens, except feld has never tested any of their riders. It comes back that Stewart has HGH, Adderal, and other PED'S in his system. Guess what's going to happen? Feld is fu*ked. They're done. Say good bye to their whole organization. Say good bye to every cent they've invested in it.

Do you get it now? Feld couldn't give a rats ass about competitive gains. They have to cover their own ass
Holy shit bro, you crazy :woohoo: Did you really just type all that crazy shit out? Talking about blowing dudes heads off and shit? Wtf bro...

Haha and I win. What you just did there, turn it around on me and place blame toward me rather than reading what was actually written, that is what is done by a person who has no intelligent rebuttal Smile nicely done.

I'm torn between most of this. As I'm sure most of you and even any of the riders that piss "dirty" are. This is such a dangerous sport and with so much at risk it seems that there should be more extensive testing for people that may suffer from ADD if they are going to test these guys for petty shit like adderall. Yes I have taken Adderall and can speak from experience.

Also, The fact that WEED is even on the list of banned substance is a fking joke. What athlete in their right mind is going to smoke a bowl before rolling up to a starting gate?

I am a safety manager. Think my job existed in the 60's or early 70's? Nope. OSHA wasn't even around. Now safety jobs are EVERYWHERE, and mostly good paying.

Insurance companies rule the workplace, and everyone is just trying to cover themselves .

I want serious cases of blood doping caught.

This adderall thing is bullshit
When you say you want guys caught for blood doping...what are you meaning?

EPO, blood transfusions or substitutes?

Also, not sure if this has been mentioned, but the doping controls in supercross...was it just urine testing or was it both blood and urine testing?

What role does the FIM play in the outdoor nationals? If he is suspended by the FIM, do they have any jurisdiction over the nationals?

I don't know. I just don't see any mainstream media sources outside this sport picking up on this story and making something big out of it. I think this stays contained within this "sport" and won't be a big deal to anyone outside of this sport.

I agree. Just look at how scrutinized the athletes are in mainstream sports orgs like the NBA, NFL and MLB. Those guys get into an argument in a bar and someone caught on cell phone and it's all over the news the next morning. In this sport, we have had athletes bite peoples ear off, flip cars, do drugs, armed robberies and God only knows what else and no one outside of our little pond has ever heard their names. This one will barely register a blip on the screen to the mainstream.

Jeff Willoh has a great story about its role is his career and the win in '96 at Dan Diego I believe, it's good and pretty funny. Some people swear by smoking then riding, I've tried it and didn't much care for it personally.

Watson told a story on Pulp about a team rider (years ago obviously) who could not race without smoking. This was a regular working pro.
Some local boys I knew called it "cartoon riding." Silly

So the sport is going to fall of the face of the earth because someone tested positive? It must not be a negative thing you know. People test positive in others sport too. It just shows the sport wants a fair playing field.

It might be 20/20 hindsight..but FELD and MX Sports should have have sit down meetings with their top 10 guys + agents in each class every year...to go through the details of the banned list..and make sure they understand EVERYTHING about the process.

Our sport has way too much value tied up in just a few top guys. It is mostly Stews fault...but FELD and MX Sports deserves some blame as well...for not making certain that their guys UNDERSTOOD what was going on. Poor management by the promoters to not make CERTAIN that their top guys understood what would be caught...what the consequences would be.

This is not a major stick and ball sport where you have 50+ superstars. We have what...3...4? You just can NOT LET THIS STUFF HAPPEN....when all your eggs are in one basket.

You're nuts. The whole point of testing now is to prevent a huge scandal in the future. The reason those sports had huge scandals is because they ignored it for so long.

I'm not sure of WADA and supercross, but MX Sports had USADA give a very detailed meeting to all riders at Glen Helen to make sure they are aware of the testing procedures, that the banned list is very detailed and needs to viewed by everyone, and what will happen if they are caught dirty.

I must be in the minority of this issue, but I feel no one should be above the law of the land. I respect the shit out of JS, RV, RD, KR, etc. because what they do on a bike is jaw dropping. But if they are caught dirty and didn't follow the proper procedures of getting their ducks in a row then they should be held accountable like any privateer. I mean it's JAMES FUCKING STEWART, how the hell could he not have the right people around him who could think "hmm, we might want to see if these pills he's ingesting are OK if tested."

Pilotdude. Time for a retraction

Anti-doping controls were carried out during the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship event held at the Century Link Field, Seattle, Washington, USA, on 12 April 2014.

The riders tested were:
Ryan DUNGEY (USA)
Ryan VILLOPOTO (USA)
James STEWART (USA)

No prohibited substances or their metabolites, or markers, or the use of prohibited methods were found in the tested samples apart from James Stewart’s sample, which tested positive for amphetamine.
