Hard to tell from watching a video, MXGP looked great but something is missing on single player. Which is really all you get with the bugs. This may be a great game, seems to flow good. Solid online play and would be a game changer, sucky online play will be a deal breaker. I say wait to play it before you review it.

Really? They had it right with the sx tracks at the stewart compound. Now they go back to the 50ft wide tracks that you don't have to use brakes on and when you case, you just keep hopping through the section. This is the first game of theirs that will not be getting my money. Big fat letdown.
I agree. I really wish they would've just released the Alive SX tracks as DLC, then made some adjustments on the next disc game. This whole "creating a new game from scratch every time" isn't working. Untamed was great, then came the dual sticks of Reflex, which was nice IMO, but a huge adjustment none the less. Once you get good at Reflex(great game, too), Alive comes in and completely changes everything. Alive was awesome, but it had a huge learning curve that unfortunately turned many people away. Just pick a platform and stick with it and make some minor adjustments. These huge changes each time really gets frustrating.

The past MvA games have all been great, but each one had few issues, and instead of addressing those issues, they recreate the entire game. I'm not saying I won't buy this one, but my purchase will be heavily influenced by others' reviews because this looks like Jeremy McGrath Supercross '98.

I can clearly see another 10 years not buying a single mx game.

Might have to find an old PC and fire up MCM2? It has crossed my mind, I just wish I would have kept all my tracks and skins.

Crazy to me that no other company is tapping into the market. The makers of mad skills have to see some opportunity here.

Please try and understand guys that this was a quick build just for them to show E3. I am sure there a lot of things to be fixed and there will be real bikes and all this was just quickly put together for other to get a taste.

Looks like shit.

I know its not a simulation, but basic motor sports games have decent acceleration and the need for brakes. I've bought about 90% of all mx games made. I think i'll stop now.

I will never understand why people give 2 shits about real bikes. The important thing is gameplay and physics. You can have Suzuki or a Suckzuki, but if the physics suck - the game sucks.

This may be a quick build but it still shows us that the designers are using the exact same premise as alive. The rider still hangs his leg off the bike and awkwardly angles his butt off the seat. And he still can't seem to get the basics of the attack position and cornering positions we all learned when we first started riding. Early build or not, it's horribly unrealistic and pretty upsetting. We should all just band together and design our own game. Laughing

I'm surprised at all the hate for the game when at least we are getting a new MX game. Yeah it may not be perfect, but it is better than no game. I did not like Alive at first but once you got fully upgraded bike and all the skills it was nice. The only problem was the preload and clutch IMO. The wide tracks may be easy, but reflex SX tracks are just as wide. It makes for better racing online. I remember Untamed had smaller SX tracks and you would always get taken out so easy. Wide tracks do not bother me just as long as they have technical tracks.

But I feel like I am playing on a NES system when I play MXS. The graphics are fucking horrible.

They need to make something in between MXS and this game. That would be ideal IMO

I get they want people who dont ride to enjoy the game but they need to also think of the people that do ride. There is a balance and its not this game.

Not to mention you have to invest close to 100 hours into the game just to become barely proficient at it. That's a major turnoff for me and others.

Well, they need to slow down then and get it right. Why hurry and put out a cruddy game, like the last ones after MX vs ATV Unleashed. Everything after this was seems like it was put together in a hurry and was a horrible result. Its obvious that no real MX rider was consulted anywhere along the way.

Why can't they use the same game play as unleashed? By far the best MX vs ATV game there was. I figured they would eventually go back to it because anything after that has sucked. I think they need some core people to go in there and revamp these games. I might have to buy unleashed's code and hire Emig and Carmichael to do it up right.
