I wonder if all the guys that hangout w/ Jlaw & help enable him are nut huggers just as much as some of his internet fans?

I have asked myself many times while I still follow him on Instagram.. Answer #1 is so I will be somewhat educated when the J-Law threads show up on Vital so I deal with the misery of what he posts.

I seriously wonder sometimes if doesn't he have an honest medical mental "short-coming". To the point that I feel bad for folks giving him grief. There is no way someone is that stupid. I think it is great he shares his life with us on social media, but I can't help but think he is a few paces behind and he can't help that. I feel REALLY sorry for him the day he needs to get a day job. Best I can tell now he is just having fun in his own unique way, every day. Ever see Billy Madison?

Because the truth is a defense against libel.
Jlaws reputation would have to be harmed from the libel and Jlaws reputation is shit anyway so it cant be harmed. Pinch
Jlaw is considered a public figure if only with the MX crowd.
Jlaw has no damages caused by the so called Libel.

JLaw is a meth head? He's known in the community for doing meth? How about snorting pills?

This is the largest message board in the industry. Insiders are known to lurk all of the time. I don't think it would be very hard to make a claim that these suggestions caused him some harm.

Libel and slander of a public figure is a tough case to win. If anything this thread has helped Jlaw more than hurt him. Just because its the largest MX message board its still small potatoes. Jlaw would have to prove damages not just make a claim. I think this thread was one of the nicer anti Jlaw threads. I get called worse names on a daily basis so I really doubt Jlaw gives a shit what is said on Vital MX

I have never heard of libel until reading this thread. It sounds like it is right next to PEDs for pathetic folks who have way too much fawking time on their hands though.

For the record, I am not a J-Law hater. I am a fan of a come-back kid. I am also a fan of an under-dog (or even bad guy) story and was happy as heck when he started a team with AMPM and hoped it would go somewhere. My sentiments of him being a bit off were not intended as insults. I have been following him hoping for a glimpse of ambition, but I am getting quite the opposite. At least Hanny is taking a career path and getting paid for the riding he does. Maybe Jason is just out 'having fun' but he has put himself in a position in a career where age isn't on your side and having fun without an income will have him being a bum by the time he is 30. That is where my concern comes in.. When he actually has to work and not on a motorcycle.

I don't know Jason.. he doesn't call me at home.. this is just observations based on social media and honest concern on my part.

I thought they crucified the only perfect man that ever lived, but the vital forums seem to be full of perfect motherfu**ers. Wheres my pitchfork!? I want to get in a few jabs at a troubled young guy. I laugh at the "He wasted his opportunity!!" Comments. It was his opportunity to waste- he didnt take the spot of anybody posting in this forum I flat guarantee. I truly feel sorry for him because nobody wants their legacy to be one of wasted opportunity and bad choices. Sometimes life is rough and some people arent equipped to handle it correctly. I speak from 40 years of experience. Someday the realization if what he lost will sink in and it will crush his spirit. I wish him nothing but the best.

Here's my 2 cents the kid has messed around to the point now that there are not many who would back him there's been too many failed comebacks that no one could possibly take the kid seriously any more. He also burns sponsors who do back him once he finds another product that he likes more instead of staying quiet for his careers sake he publicly slates them. I don't think there is any chance of reed giving J-Law any kind of support as no.1 how could you predict what the kid would do you might give him every opportunity then he would start doing ok and piss it all away again and burn everyone. I think when J-Law rides with reed he will probably see how far off real top ten pace he is and it may be a wake up call if he already hasn't had that from riding with roczen and others.I am a fan of J-Laws riding style hes still great to watch and maybe there is still some kind of money to be made for him riding in freeride videos but IMO the kid needs to go to school or get a real job and and use riding as a fun thing to do in his spare time. I'm sure he already knows all of this though as however dumb he may come across on social media the kid is not a complete moron hes just made too many mistakes and ruined too many chances for himself.

While I agree that the guy that posted the comment needs to be more careful, I would say it's not that close to being libel. First, he actually never stated jlaw's name and that he was in fact talking about him (obviously implied? Yes. Stated? No.). And as far as the snorting pills comment...he said "probably" which means it's not stated as fact. Plus, how would you quantify the damages to someone who I'm assuming isn't currently employed anyways?

While we are at it, lets talk about Jeff Emig too. Since no one is allowed to move forward from their mistakes, lets bring up all the old arrests from everyone! He was fired from a Factory Kawasaki ride for getting caught with pot, had some plea agreement for public intoxication, yeah, lets bring that up! Then lets toss in some gossip and call this person or that person a meth head just for kicks. Ive never witnessed so much hate for someone just because they quit riding a motorcycle.

Who said he's making a comeback? I'm pretty positive it wasn't him... He seems content with just riding his dirt bike

Wow some people need to get a life and quit worring about what J Law does or does not do. Is he on here asking for a handout for a comeback ?? The guy seems to have it pretty good riding when he wants to all over the country. Who cares that he could have been more in the sport ?? Only he has to look at his self in the mirror and wonder what might have been.

A successful, humble, legend of a motocross racer who once got caught smoking weed and publicly intoxicated... and who also learned his lesson, is a whole lot different then some d-bag entitled, shit talking, drugged out, kid who gets in fights and goes to jail. The guy burned his bridges, can I see him coming back and doing decent as a privateer? If he somehow decided that he needs to do things the right way then yes, but he would never get a decent ride out of it because he would be a horrible investment. I don't see him training and putting in enough time anyways.

Remember when he went on transworld and talked about dungey? Said he was weak minded or something like that, and eluded to himself still being better than dungey? That's pretty halarious now, and I bet he still thinks a lot of it. That's the kind of person he is.
