Just curious as to who else is having problems getting gas. Here in the Charlotte-Metro, NC people are waiting for hours at a time to get gas. Many stations are out of gas and closed for business by 10PM. People are going nuts.

Damn that reminds me of the 70's when i was a kid and had to wait in lines for gas, stations would put out a flag signaling if they even had gas or not.

No but that would suck tho. Gas prices where I live keep going down each week by like 5 cent, its not much but as long as they keep going down Im happy.

There is no gas anywhere around shelby NC...it comes in small tanker loads and is gone within a few hours. It is a feeding frenzy.

Thank you, democrats, for spending the last 30 years preventing the construction of any new refineries. Here we are , on the verge of a complete breakdown because of a storm that did moderate damage to an area 1600 miles away over 2 weeks ago

Thanks, short sighted , corrupt washington losers

This country is in a fucked up situation. We need to focus on our home land before all these other fucked up countries. I can't believe waiting for hours, for gas!

85 octane, 87 octane does that stuff even ignite? Laughing The lowest octane we have here is 91 then theres ethanol fuels at 93 [i think] premium at 95 then the trusty BP ultimate and the like at 98 octane but its about $1.70+ a litre for that stuff

I knew that but it seems odd that it's only affecting that area, meanwhile gas here in central Ill. is lower than before the storm.

L.A. (lower Alabama) here and plenty of gas here. Regular is $3.65 today.

3.66 around here.
I keep hearing stories about stations running out, but haven't seen any for myself.
I'm starting to wonder if it's just scare tactics.

Thats just a lie the government is saying. I guess NC is just gettin fucked over, cause in Floridan, the prices have gone from 4.10 last moth to 3.57 and keeps dropping.

Im hopping it will get down to 3$, but that is just a dream...

The Exxon/Mobil refinery here in Pt. Arthur, Texas was under a minimum of three feet of water. Well over 1000 electric motors were submerged, all requiring rebuilds or replacement. Estimated that the plant would be inoperable for a minimum of a month. Mnay of the other refineries here fared pretty well all things considered.

If I had to wait for 2 hours I guess I would just have to stay at home. My dad was talking yesterday about how people in this country nowadays dont know what its like to do without.

"I want what I want when I want it" mentality. Had a old lady get road rage on me the other day, giving me the finger calling me an idiot because I refused to give her my right of way. I just smiled and waved, pissed her off more lol.

I find it odd that I live in Texas (near Dallas) eight hours away from where the Hurricane hit the refineries and have no problem getting gas, but North Carolina is suffering a shortage. How does that work?

I buy a tanker load of Diesel every week and I had a hard time getting it this week. Took my supplier 2 days to get me a load.
