It was reported in a motocycle magazine recently (Australian Motorcycle News) that Honda has filed trademark applications for its CR, CRM and CRE tags, which as we all know are associated with Honda's 2 stroke motocross/road legal bikes. all these trademarks were specifically for motorbikes not cars.

Interesting....it doesnt mean that they will start producing them again of course, but then why would they apply for the trademark?

Well my point was going to be...
Before you start, I would hate to see service honda out of business but why aren't honda doing the same of service honda. They could do it cheaper, meaning higher margins and have a market share of the modern 2strokes...

But I was asking numbers because if service honda sell very few my point is null and void.

Maybe they will make 125s when the 250 lites becomes 150 any stroke and 350s any stroke.

Ping Matthes etc all say 450s are too big and the racing has suffered, like the open bikes of old.
Few can ride them to their full potential.

This sport sucks without 2 strokes.
Its like NHRA without the smell of Nitro.
Or how F1 sounds like shit now.

At least the small class should be a true feeder, somewhat Spec class...like GP2 to F1.

lol you want to tell Honda not to make them so Service Honda can continue? Those guys can still make the Kawasaki 2-strokes

AS one poster said above its probably to keep the name rather than starting to produce them again anyway. But we all live in hope (and dreams).

Ktm has had the direct inject two stroke for more than awhile now. Must be having issues getting the hp they want.

Bullshit, I am a +45 vet A rider and I stretch the cable on my 450. Nothing like an old 500 2 stroke which was damn near impossible to keep the front end on the ground.

However, I do also own a 125 and 250 2 stroke and agree we need 2 strokes back in the game.

My idea and its obviously worth about nothing is to make the classes 125 2t and 200 4t and then either 250 2t and 350 4t or 300 2t and 450 4t.

I really like my 450, little to no money in engine to be competitive but would rather see the 250 2t / 350 4t class.

Dudes, Neither Honda nor any other manufacturer, especially Japan and KTM, is planning any 2-stroke involvement in the US. 2-strokes will never ever again be raced in any pro capacity in the United States, Also new 2-stroke models will never be produced by Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki for sale in the US, and I seriously doubt anywhere else. The only reason any 2-stroke news or miniscule attention Honda Kawi and Suzuki give to 2-strokes is for street bikes in India, Thailand, and Bangladesh.
