I'm tired of all this "I don't like my bike shit". Mostly it's the people on here claiming this bike or that bike sucks and doesn't suit so and so. Outside of Reed I haven't heard hardly any comments from the riders themselves. Oh, and Milsaps changing bikes before he even raced the one he's on. ALL the current machines are capable of winning with the right rider on top. All of them.

your second to last sentence..... it takes the combo of bike and rider to push the limits enough to win. on any given day any nascar can win but its usually the guys with the key set up and chassis

Please find me a quote of Stewart ever complaining about the Yamaha. The media could tell that he obviously didn't like the bike, but he never actually said that. He was a professional and respected his team through and through.

RC could win on every bike he was on not matter how good or bad the bike was.

In all fairness...I believe most of Stewart's issues were not with the bike (and no...he never blamed it. The media did.), but with the management behind the bike.

Also on the pulpmx show not to long ago he said if he had to keep riding the Yamaha he would have quit.

I remember he said that Yamaha didn't suit him very well..
And it wasn't very hard to believe.

He was scared to push that bike just like most pros were. The front end did weird shit.

Here is what I know....and this is true even for all of us weekend warriors.

Every bike feels different , handles different , acts different , rides different.......and every single one of us feel more comfortable on certain bikes. It's NOT just " Pick your color "......you have to choose the bike that fits you best.

The factory guys....believe it or not....only have one choice of a bike when they ride for a team ( unlike us....we ride what we want ). Yes they can change just about everything on it to try and make that rider more comfortable.......but sometimes that is just not enough.

What works awesome for one rider......may feel completely alien to the next guy ( Think Reed when he did his first Kawi stint ).......it won't make a difference.no matter how much work you do to it.

It's always been this way.....except for some minor exclusions of the full factory bikes way back when.....when they could change " Everything " to make it fit that specific rider. The teams can't go that far in today's racing.

You should also add Reed twice, Dungey and Barcia to your list.

Did you forget about those guys?

The best bike is the scooter that you feel most comfortable hauling ass on. So comfortable you could take a nap on and still haul ass on any track. You can't bullshit the brain...it knows when it's being con'd.

I think if Dungey were comfortable on his scooter he could beat anybody anywhere. You can't bullshit the DUNGEY!

That was after he left Yamaha. James never badmouthed the Yamaha while he was riding it, as I remember. He stayed a class act.

Reed is the biggest complainer about bikes. By far! Its the reason he rides for himself, nobody will hire him, hes burnt every bridge

You will never know how whiney it can be till you promote a race or try and run a track that loses more than it makes every year for 8 years. Couple more years and I even I may move on.

Yes, you're correct. Reed's popularity carries no weight in this industry and no one wants to hire him. Wow. You can't really believe that.

Reed has absolutely burned bridges.... He's still a big enough star to get great rides though.
