Going with 8 buddies. We were going to take the rv and get there early sat but found out its 90 bucks to park with an rv which is pretty insane. Is it like that at all sx events?

Only 10-15 minutes away from me and I will be there! Last SX I attended on the east coast was 30-35 years ago held at the Boston Patriots football stadium. Last SX I attended that was just minutes away from my home was the Tokyo SX. Will they do a Jersey/ NY SX again next year or is this a one-off?

I'll be there with my girlfreind.
We go to Vegas every year for the finale but the timing for Vegas and my job wasn't great this year so I'm looking forward to go to this round!

Hopefully it becomes yearly. I'm sure it wasn't easy pulling this off so hopefully it is well attended and it sounds like its going to be. Its a hit and worth it to come back.

Maybe a few dumb questions but I've never been to an SX and I want to make the most of the day so..

- It says that doors open for Qualifying at 12:30. If I go in for qualifying do I then have to stay in the stadium for the next 10 hours? That would cost me a small fortune in food and beverages for a family of 4! Also, the weather reports I'm seeing are calling for sporadic rain.. could make for a long day for my little ones.

- I don't see anything about bringing in cameras. Is it ok to bring in a point-and-shoot?

- When do pits open? After 12:30?

- Do you have to enter the stadium in order to get into the pits or do you get to them from the parking lots? Just wondering if I will ba able to get back to my vehicle for food & drinks in between.

- Should I wear my MX jersey so everyone knows I'm a real racer? [kidding]

- do they broadcast the race by radio? Should I bring headphones and an fm radio?

- any other tips for a N00B?

You can come and go as you please between stadium, pits and parking as far as I know. Correct me anyone if I'm wrong. Pit party will go on from 12:30 -6 plenty of stuff so see and some interactive stuff.

I drive by the stadium daily, and today I saw some semi-trucks set up in the parking lot. I also think you're allowed to bring in a camera

Can anyone describe the autograph routine? If my daughter doesn't get Stewart's autograph, I will hear about it to my grave. We can't make the Motorcycle Mall appearance. We will be at MetLife by noon if that makes a difference.

Walk over to the JS7/Suzuki rig as soon as you get there and look on the side of the rig or on a little dry erase board near the door of the rig.
It will tell you the autograph time and should tell you the ticket times.

If JS is the end all be all autograph for her then hang out ahead of the ticket time to be in line to get a ticket.
Once you have a ticket then you can wander around until the signing time or else try to get an early spot in the autograph line.

Whatever you do don't lose that ticket though because you are shit out of luck if you do.
