Indeed. The week of over reaction on this board is going to get very old very quickly. I like James but one great race always gives his biggest supporters memory problems.

Funny you should type that...I remember when RC crashed and jacked his shoulder at Glen Helen.
Half the people left after the first moto. RC's fans were major jack-asses that day!

Not sure what that has to do with anything but, I was standing on the hill right about where Ricky went down.. should have seen the drunk mother fuckers cheering when it happened! Came real close to tossing one of them off the hill

If James can win these next 5 SX events...
STL,Houston,Seattle,NJ & Vegas
That would put him at 54 wins going into the 2015 SX season.
It would take him 19 more wins to break MC's record of 72 SX wins.
I would love to see it and after seeing him last night,it looks like he still has some left in the tank to do it. Smile

During parade laps with Des Nation gear, the announcer made sure RV got a standing ovation all around the track but
JS rode in his American Des Nation gear, the announcer was concerned about somebody locked there keys in there car.

RC was crowned the GOAT, a little too soon for my taste.

RC will always have the name Goat

But I think that James is the greatest of all times and he is still racing.

The point is nobody can jump the sections he does like we saw last night... he is the undisputed greatest of all time and will soon be the king of supercross also...take that to the bank doubters

I am and have always been a Huge fan of James. I mean when he wins, my week feels 20% better , when he crashes I shut the race off , tell my wife I am going to quit watching supercross ( she just smiles and says did James crash?) then I go back and suffer through the race a couple hours later. Face the facts though, Ricky has, 7 outdoor 250/450 titles, 2 undefeated seasons, and 150 wins altogether , he is definitely to Goat for these times for sure.

Since 2009,what is the 450 title count between dungey, reed ,villo, stewart? sx and mx, that should answer some questions, facts do not lie.Whats more important wins or titles?

He has the same amount of 450 titles (Not including those world sx gp things, that was just dumb) as Reed and Dungey. Far more race wins, yes, but that just goes to show how inconsistent he is. Im a born again Stewart fan, but he is not the GOAT. He is the second best when it comes to SX though... Kinda. RC has him beat on titles though, and no one will ever touch MC.

How would that even make him the goat ? Just by winning two titles? That would give him 3 SX titles.

Pretty sure Stewart was hurt and RC was riding around by himself at one or more of those nationals making it less than 6. I was at RC's last national and I don't recall Stewart being there.

They were pretty much trading moto wins that year if I remember right with RC winning the 2nd motos and overalls.
Now you made me look it up. Laughing Stewart was not at Millville. RC's last National. This of course doesn't change the fact that RC had him covered outdoors.

I was and still will, post this on youtube in response to an idiot, but I guess I can post it here too as it seems to fit the bill.

If I am not mistaken, in 1992, I went to Gainesville MX to watch the Gatorback Nationals and the talk of the day was not all of the pros racing down there. It was of 12 year old Ricky Carmichael that was racing a 65cc bike and had lap times that were 8 seconds off of the 10-5 positioned pros. Now, that was on a 65cc bike. Unfortunately I didnt follow JS's career in the minis, etc, but what he did that day when I saw him out there on Gatorback, was nothing short of amazing and definitely had to have got the GOAT started being potentially referred to as such someday. Until someone officially unseats him and I dont even know how to determine that, he still is.
