Making your grips stay on?

What does everyone use for making their grips stay on solid? Grip glue is fine and everything but i know there is some good tricks like hair spray and what not. What's your trick?

Depends on the grip compound, old school way was either a little gas or contact cleaner and then safety wire.

Have been using good enamel aerosol clear coat for a number of years. Works good for me. Rustoleum crystal clear is pretty good. Just shoot a bit into the grip, and twist as you install to spread things around. Let it dry over night.

Years ago we used to use 3M weather strip glue.

pro taper grip glue, put in on the bar, then spray a little brake cleaner on the bar and in the grip slide it on, in less than five minutes its ready to ride, i do saftey wire also, and i usually poke a small hole in the end of the grip to let the air out, so u dont blow the end off it

I poke a very small hole at the cap end of the grips with a heated paper clip. This allows the air to escape when I slip the grips on, and I use pro-taper grip glue to make them stayWink

I used to use Gorilla Glue which worked extremely well. Now I use clear spray paint and find that it works just as well and is less messy. I safety wire 'em also.

I spray the bar with some contact cleaner, slide the grip on and use safety wire to keep them from moving.

Never had a grip fall off or turn on me. I also run bar ends so I am not replacing grips after every tip over.

What are bar ends? I have never heard of that, but it sounds like I could really use them

The only thing that has ever worked for me in keeping the grips from moving is spray paint. I spray it inside the grip and then slide them on. They don't move at all when I do this.

Spray some spray paint in the grip, slide it on and let it dry then wire tie

I straight up raw dog it and safety wire when done.
