Considering that the supercross is sponsored by Honda, I'm really not too surprised.
I think its awesome though and a great PR move by TLD and Honda. The guy is a fan favorite because he is so likable. I could see him placing 10-15th place.

He'll do well on the big bike in his back yard. Top five is entirely possible, especially if one of the big boys has a little trouble.

I dunno why he didn't get the Muscle Milk Honda fill in ride for the east coast rounds. Don't get me wrong, Seely is a great 450 rider, but I would think TLD would want to play it safe with him since he's in the middle of a title chase.

Mookie is a badass. Coming from the days where he didn't even want to race professionally and wasn't a super fast B rider. He got a bunch of shit from the Vitards and now look at the kid, straight up ripping!!!

I think one reason is because Cole did pretty good last year (or the year before) when he rode the 450 for a few rounds for Factory Honda. Also, like you said, he's in the title hunt for the West Coast and sometimes it helps to keep racing and to keep your mind focused on racing. It's a risky choice, but he isn't the first rider to do this. Dungey did this when he was on a Suzuki in the Lites class.
I know what you're saying though - It would've been rad to see Malcolm ride a few more East Coast rounds. Maybe Factory Honda is using these East Coast rounds as an audition to see if they want him next year for the 450 class? Who knows, maybe Malcolm and the Stewarts were offered the ride and turned it down?

He will beat his brother. At least I hope he does. He certainly has the speed.
You believe this?

He is good on a 450, much better suited than a 250 but he ain't faster than his brother. No way.

Having fun with Factory Honda? Should be plenty of those bikes available because even Tomac went back to production version.

Mookie privateer back from pickup effort?

Just quote from racerx about Tomac
http://racerxonline.com/2014/03/04/observations-indianapolis

Last season when he rode the 450 he was plenty fast but didn’t get the starts or finishes that he wanted until he switched to a more production-based bike for Daytona. It was there that he got his (until now) career best finish. And guess what? This week Tomac was again back off a full-blown factory bike and onto something much closer to what his teammate Wil Hahn runs.

There appears to be something about the full factory bike that just doesn’t gel with Tomac. Most riders in the world (99 percent of them actually) would love a factory Honda bike, but for Eli it didn’t seem to be working.

Jason Thomas also said he heard Tomac changed bikes. Is that is why he went back to S. CA between ATL and Indy?

goodness, firstly there is NO Production bike out there racing dude.... secondly, just because Tomac 'allegedly' went to a Gieco bike that has a few more Factory tricks on it than Hahn's everyone thinks its a Production bike ....

That's not a rumor! that's a fact. He and his mechanic are in a rented (Avis -Thanks John) F-150 riding a practice bike. They are riding press day tomorrow you will probably catch some pics online of that tomorrow. Don't need a rig @ Daytona as they pit out of Garages.
