...a 2014 KTM SX-450f Factory Edition. Serial number #003. The third one made and sent over to the United States. I am in love with this thing.

what does the factory editions come with?
The factory edition comes with MX52 tires, holeshot device, orange frame, Akrapovic exhaust, mapping switch, slightly different wheels/spokes and a couple of other misc. goodies as I recall...

Not horrible bang for the buck when you look at the price difference for what you get.

The only thing I don't like is the exhaust...if I bought one of those I would put an FMF on it. And Im guessing w the price your paying for that Akrapovic . Its it the header also...dosnt look like it.

Why's that? Why would you change from a full Ti system developed in conjunction with the factory and part of what makes this bike what it is to an FMF? Have you ridden a modern KTM450? I rode the 14 stocker and it don't need no more power unless your too good to be posting here or trying to spin the rear tire on tarmac in top gear!

Is the KTM factory edition considered a stock bike?

Does it have the same WP suspension as the non- factory edition?

The head pipe is not Ti. It's the same stainless steel head pipe thats on the standard 450. If the Akro muff is the same as the Akro muff that was on the 2013.5 FE its a pig boat anchor. I pulled my the day I brought my 2013.5 home and went full Ti FMF. The real full Ti system was too much coin.

Suspension is upgraded to the new CS4 fork with a different offset. Also has a longer linkage arm and 4 mm shorter shock and a forged cross tube for the linkage mount.

Fork is supposed to be a BIG upgrade from the standard WP closed cartridge fork.

Shock is actually 4mm longer. They changed the suspension raising rate by changing the pull rod to a rod that is 2.5mm longer. Since a longer rod makes the bike ride lower they used a longer shaft on the shock to keep the ride height the same as before.
