RV did gap stew by almost 9s at the end from where they were at lap 2. But when you are so far down at the start...it is pretty hard to charge into a groove.

Now...if you look at the numbers...the guy who had perhaps the ride of his LIFE..was HILL! By lap 9...he had caught Stew...and stayed with him till the end.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that caught Hill's ride, showing some of that 2010 speed again!!

First things first - You are wrong.

You can see clearly that Kennys bike and Kenny are way ahead of RV and his bike Wink

So last to 4th that is Wink

Roczen was moving through the field just as well as RV was, and hill was on it. As was Tickle. Good too see solid rides from RCH

"Villopoto’s race was taxing, as the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider charged from seventeenth to seventh around the halfway mark, and into fourth place by the checkered flag. Stewart made a similar run, coming from twenty-first to seventh." Laughing

RV will win this title on heart. He has made chicken salad out of chicken shit a couple times this year. I expected him to be reeling off wins by now. Barring a DNF it Villopotos to lose.

Looking at the chart, Stewart didn't get around the slower riders nearly as fast as RV. Remember when he could pass 10 riders in less than a lap? I didn't realize Wilson started that far back and that is a good ride to get 10th. Josh Hill actually rode really well if you see that he was in dead last, for the first 4 laps to come back and beat Wilson. Bad ride by Chris Blose to go backwards with a good start. I wonder if Tickle got a holeshot, could he get on the podium cause he is always good in ruts?

I was really hoping Alessi would get on the podium and watch him ball his eyes out. The mobile medical unit would of had to put an IV in to replenish all the fluids he lost! Woohoo Woohoo Laughing
Part of the reason for RV got around guys faster is that Stew and the other guys down in the first turn were among those RV passed as soon as he got back up.

Equally impressive rides by both of them.

Gotta admit the man rode smart and didn't panic. If the track wasn't so sketchy he might have won the sucker.

These stats show where everyone was at , at the " END of lap 1.........not the beginning. RV got up and passed 5 dudes before he made it to the finish line jump on lap 1. He rounded the first corner in 21st........then made it all the way up to 4th. Impressive to say the least on a track like that!

Hill and Stewart both put in phenomenal rides as well !!

imo his best ride of the year so far , this was more impressive than his phoenix win

The crash RV was in and the crash Stewart was in happened basically at the same time. They were both first-turn crashes, they were on the ground simultaneously, but Ryan picked his bike up sooner and was on his way.

I can almost promise you, as RV passed that second first-turn wreck, he thought something akin to At least I'm not last.

Great ride, though. A couple more laps and it would've been a podium. Decent ride for James. He was tailed and caught by Hill before finally pulling a small gap at the end, but I guess that's better for Hill than it is bad for Stewart. Stew was probably trying not to crash 2X these last two rounds, which his fans should appreciate.

You do realize that 3 of these "passes" were Stewart, Hill and Dean...who were tangled up in a hole after the first jump...right? RV gets up...bike still running...grabs the clutch, gets on and rides off in the span of 5s....and those guys bikes are literally still stuck together... Sheesh. So...yeah...he rounded the first corner :in 21st"...and 10 feet later he was in 18th. It was an awesome ride...but those 3 "passes" were not part of the awesomeness...

Bottom line, Villopoto made what could have been a disaster into a small bump. Great racing and spirited rides by the cream of the crop to recover, well except for Roczen's final result.

Exactly. It is insane. And when he does wad it up...it is usually when it does not matter. Seattle after the Championship is won.... Monster Cup. Then there is the out doors. Look at his wrecks and Muddy Creek...and Spring Creek! Muddy Creek...still finishes 4th.... Spring Creek....he goes 4th 6th. Both of those easily could have been DNFs...and Spring Creek could have been an injury. Not sure how he does it. He NEVER has DNFs.... and I don't know how you can attribute it to skill...once you are crashing...you are CRASHING.
