Very nice. I saw there was a Florida dealer who had KTM bikes, but they never responded to my messages about getting one. I could use a hardtail for the XC season.

Race Across America legend Gerhard Gulewicz has used KTM bikes since 2007. The Austrian is racing RAAM for his ninth straight time this year.

Micky Dymond is racing this year too! Yes, THAT Micky Dymond.

Had no idea that they were in the bicycle biz, those look nice. Didn't Honda and Kawasaki offer them at one point too?

Here are a couple models that TM released this year.

Actually, KTM started making bicycles a long time ago. They've been around longer than Trek or Specialized. I know for a long time KTM couldn't release certain full suspension models over here because they infringed on Specialized's FSR patent.

$8999.00 some of them cost more than a brand new 2014 450 motocross bike !! and you still have to pedal it !!!

Contact either KTM Country in Eugene, Oregon or Hinshaws Motorcycle store in Auburn Washington. Both can help you out no problem!

KTM Builds over 75% of their own frames in house, unlike the other BIG bicycle companies.

On one hand I agree with you but on the other, if that's your mindset, you'll never understand. It's a fitness hobby. The easier the bike is to pedal, the more track you get to cover, the faster you are etc. . . Most guys aren't out there to be lazy if you're riding bicycle anyways.

I was skeptical before I started riding mountain bike but it's a blast once you get your endurance picked up. I spent a little over $1,000 on my bike thinking it wouldn't be much better than my $400 bike. . . I was WAY wrong. I can only imagine how a $8,999 bike rides if price is an indicator of quality. Which in the world of bicycles, it tends to be.

I ride a $12,000 Tri bike (as it's set up with wheels/power meter). And having the top shelf bike makes me want to ride it. So I do. A lot. There's a huge difference between levels of bicycle. Some noticeable at my level. Some not so much.

Just like motorcycle advancements. There is a lot of R&D in the bicycle world. Far more than most people would realize.

Gotta go with Shane on this one. The high price of high end bikes is due to the R & D that goes into them, not purely materials based (much like everything in motor sports). And, yes, high end bikes really are that much better.
