Metcalfe's permanent #... what should I pick?

The old numbering system was not hard to follow and people get used to new numbers quick. Lots of riders change numbers and always will. I am sure you will be at the front of the pack so we would have 24 memorized in a few laps. Its also my daughters volleyball number so I am sorta bias. Do what you want, either way it will work out. I say 24 and don't worry about people mistaking you for JG. There's a big difference between a guy charging in the final laps and a guy looking backwards.

With this stupid "permament" number system, I'd say unless you would get number below 20, stick with your well know #123. Although in this case, since you have a bit of history with 24... you can't go too much wrong!

Its as easy as 123 Brett but whatever you choose you it will be a winner. Oh yeh and good to see you here mate.

I say stick with the 123! if you go 24, how many other baseball, football, hockey, basketball players, and Nascar, F1 Dirt Track, Road racers, etc can you think of that run the #24? With a 3- digit number, you have a great way to market yourself and have your own personal identity, especialy when you retire and someone else becomes #24!
