Talked to my friend Kelly Foutch yesterday (runs SouthernPowersports) He said they were getting 8 crf450's next week (15TH)

I know alot of you guys were asking about them so I decided to post a lil update.

I guess the retail is gonna be like $8200.00 There gonna sale em' for 7285 OUT THE DOOR!

They sell more honda bikes than anyone in the country (2500 last year) Nobody sells bikes as cheap as they do.

There outta Chattanooga Tn. Call him if you want more info 423-643-4633 ask for Kelly.
To get that price,Tell him Matt Walker sent ya.

Thanks,

...yea but i thought retail was 7599...so if we could get them for 6599, that would be a grand under retail.

hey stalker, you should read before you write. go back....read again......

ok, now you should of read and understood my key point....

" I thought retail was 7599, as posted on this site"

if that is true...then...a grand under the originally posted retail would be the 6599 number i threw out. This is me saying to bogdan912 that i dont think its really 1k under retial. It has nothing to do with me calling bullshit on your OTD price, and has absolutely nothing to do with an '08 model.

southern powersports has the best prices bar none that i could find in the southeast for the past 2 years. they move massive volume. The savings i normally would get from them when compared to my local dealer though, is not enough to offset the cost of gas to drive there from charlotte.

anyways, thanks for posting stalker, even though you were too eager, waiting for someone to pounce on your post, for that i dont blame you because that is the nature of this place. either way, thanks for the price check.

I think they originally said 7599. But then they changed it I guess, not alot of dealers know what retail is right now. Kelly knows cause they just got the paperwork on them and the first few are coming to his shop first. Cause they sell so many, they can cut a G off. He said 82 and some change was what the final retail would be. Thats an ass load no matter how much you discount it.

Thats my last post on this . Wasnt tryin to be an Eager Beaver' earlier. Its just my fuse is a lil short sometimes : )

From what I know about that dealer you wont find one cheaper but this is what the honda site says.

09 MSRP $7599
08 MSRP $7199

I'm guessing that Honda is not going to change their MSRP from $7599 to $8200 that quickly. Since you are talking about "out the door", using a MSRP of $7599 and adding 8% tax - that would get you an out the door price of $8200. Tax might be a bit lower but the normal tack-on fees for setup, documentation, title, etc may also be in the $8200.

So....using this rationale, $7285 out the door is close to $6745 pre-tax/fees.

Getting 8 CRF450's next week seems a bit inconsistent with the prior information of select dealers getting 1 in October with the rest filtering in during late October/early November. I hope that you are right.

actually MSRP is $7599. and dealer cost is dealer cost. no matter how many you sell. i know southern powersports does a lot, but dealer cost is the same for them as it is for everyone.

i'm sure that their $8200 is their OTD retail.....just wanted to get everyone on the same page.

Foster576, I dont get "ripped "cause I do not ride, therefore I do not need a dirt bike. I help sell bikes and Motor Coaches and stuff like that for friends .

BDog, Coincedently The only bike that I have ever bought in my entire life, was the rm85 that was tore down at Birch Creek. I bought it in Nov. last year for a friend and client. It was old and ragged out by the time we made it to the regional. He won the 12-13 stk class and they tore him down. Actually I tore it down. I hate workin on bikes.I was pissed to say the least that they thought I would cheat, anyways we were stock and he won, It was the first L.L regional that he had ever been to in his life and he won. So that part was cool.

Any who-who FYI The dealership in Chattanooga is the cheapest on Honda's in the country. Thats why they sell the amount that they do. Thats why there getting 8 and others are getting 1.

Some states are diff. than others. It's up to the consumer to take care of the out of state tax.

Southern Honda has always sold the CRF450 for approximately $850 to $950 below MSRP. MSRP on this bike is $7599 per many press releases and the Honda site. I was told by a sales rep two days ago they should be just around $7000 this year.

I want one bad. I've got my local dealer finding out what I can get one for and he knows he's competing with Southern Honda and Lake Hills Motorsports. Those are the two cheapest places to buy bikes in the Southeast typically. If he can get within $400 or $500 of their price I'll bite. $7285 OTD sounds high from MY dealer, much less Southern Honda.

The Honda dealership out in Santa Clarita is getting 1 for showroom next week and then should be mid October til they get bikes to sell to public. There's already 15 people on the waiting list so I'm sure they are going to sell them for retail. Southern Honda seems like a good place hooking riders up w/ discounted prices.

No, my newish 06 only has 30 hours on it so I'll be riding it until 2010 at least. I typically never ride someone else's bikes but I'm looking forward to riding my buddy's new 09 when it comes in.

Stalker, I love the sales technique of blowing up at the posters on here, regardless of what they say... Short tempers aren't a good thing. I'd fire you or at least tell you to stop associating yourself with me...
