He's wearing the oakleys in practice right now

I'm wondering if he actually signed with Oakley. Seems weird that he wouldn't have the goggles around his neck for the podium.

He wore oakley in the main and displayed them during the podium interviews etc.

I saw him wearing them during the race but he wasn't wearing them around his neck for the interview after the race on tv. He also didn't thank them as a sponsor.

Reed wanted $50K for goggle sponsorship, that's where he valued himself for that segment, a few brands wanted to work with him and he tested a good number of goggles but most company had already spent their marketing budget and couldn't afford the extra cash for the 22. Not a matter of what's the best products to wear but more a matter of what best sponsorship package worked for him.

I hear what your saying. But it would seem like reed went with the product he felt was superior if he has not signed with the company.
I just thought it was weird that he looked to have signed with Oakley but didn't mention them or wear them in the tv interview. You would think he would be pumping up his new sponsor if he signed with them.

I like what you write but Chad is a professional and doesn't give exposure to a brand if he is not getting return on investment in return. In that case, since he had been testing goggles for the past month (and more) why did he use a black strap on his Fox and didn't go for a black strap Airbrake from the beginning?

I was thinking the same thing honestly.

The part were he doesn't mention them and wear them around his neck in the tv interview is the weird part.
