Mx vs Atv Reflex is doin' big things already as soon as they fixed the online, they're already creating custom tracks like this one above or even Monster Energy Cup's and what not. Reflex is plain and simple the best MX title out to this day and they can even make it better by capitalizing on some of the mistakes from crashing with other players, but scrubs and whips is greatest of any game out there! Reflex who built the foundation of the two joysticks (reflex stick) they just need to built on top of that and create more tracks and career mode, and of course the ONLINE to keep it kickin' ...

If anyone who did say Reflex sucked you either A: Couldn't bring your scrubs back good enough B.) You couldn't keep your speed and momentum and be more fluid C.) Bxtched on the MXvsATV Forums because you were not good enough and gave up an wanted something more easier ... D.) Or all the Above ...

Now, now, now ... Alive had some good points like we've all said like the Graphics and Turning physics in turns ...

Reflex MAJORITY, Alive MINORITY

PERIOD ...

Now give some love @ the Nordic Games Forums @http://forum.nordicgames.at/showthread.php?178156-MX-vs-ATV
No.

Not as good as MX2002's intro but I see your point, we need intros like this to get us going before the game gets even started.

Remember the online ranking system that the zone used to have? You couldn't choose your number and you ran what you earned. I remember making it up to #31 once and that was bad ass.

So you like slow bikes, no traction, a complete inability to dice with other riders without being pulverized into a million pieces, and supercross tracks/laps that are not even remotely close to being proportioned to an actual scale? Ok.

why does it have to be that people like one OR the other?

both games had great qualities and not so great also.. the smart decision would be to take the good, drop the bad, add some badass, and possibly some DLC or user content (not possible on the current gen) and it'd be a great game.

You make a great point peely..BUT... The flaws are glaringly in your face everytime you play. And The whole argument boils down to which game brought you more personal enjoyment... Great sequel games do not cause this... But ones that are in the same game chain yet polar opposites will.

Loved Reflex, but it was almost impossible to get through the first turn clean. The physics were awesome but I found the bikes a bit hard to control and hard to stay consistent. Maybe I just never found my groove, but MX Unleashed was my favorite one. Travis Pastrana's MTX Mototrax had an awesome career mode as well.

Still to this day i play Reflex. I bought Alive, popped it in, played 5 min, popped it out and never played it again. Reflex is hands down the direction they should go. Heck even back to unleashed. I will buy the new game but if its like Alive then im pretty sure they have lost me. Reflex is the reason i bought a PS3
I also still play Reflex. I have yet to play a racing game that has better online play than Reflex.

I've never played it on PC, but would definitely be interested. How exactly does it work? Obviously buy the game for PC, but can you plug in your xbox controller to your PC with a USB? Forgive my noobness.

The only bad thing about reflex was the tough blocks and the crashing into other rider's. Honestly the game was a blast and sometimes in the corners you leaned over to much and crashed and that was frustrating. Besides that the most fun I've ever had racing online ever, the game did suck at first and wasn't as fun until you got good but if you were good you could flow and go really fast.

lmfao so true dude... My like a football player in other words lmao bike and dude were basically as big as the jumps more or less and you come flying straight into the air and yeah coming flying straight down like a 2000+lbs elephant...

I do like some of the physics in Alive like the turning style, but no foot off the pegs like reflexs physics had.

I kinda like the scale in alive, but it's toooo much to be honest way to scaled, and you can't float over jumps like in real life or Reflex for that matter...

Keep Reflex scrubs and whips FOR SURE! No doubt your too stiff in Alive terrible whip and scrub style...

Download it online from Steam and you can be playing in minutes. Not sure about the controller.

I much prefer Alive's whips and scrubs but hey, both are cool This wasn't mean to be a "Reflex vs Alive" thread this was meant to be a "Hell ya, we have a Supercross game coming out" thread! =)

You can just plug in a XBOX 360 wired controller and it should work. You may have to do a search for a download to use it with Windows which can be gotten from Microsoft's website if necessary. Microsoft sells a USB receiver for the XBOX 360 wireless control or you can buy the Chinese rip off version for $15 on eBay. PS3 users, you can buy a bluetooth dongle and download MotionJoy to use your Dual Shock 3 controller wirelessly.

I read over on the twisteddirt.com forum that Reflex PC is currently only $10. I think they figured out how to do everything with custom tracks now except place a spline so you can race one another. I think placing objects was a big hold up for a while, but I don't get into it too much so I could be wrong. Just like to see what people can do with the game to make it more customized, but I think MXSim takes the cake on that one.

Been playing a lot of reflex again recently, even put alive in for a go just to see if I had changed my mind about Alive sucking.
Nope..
In reflex when going through whoops leaning back, if you start to wheelie too much usually the back wheel will hit the next whoop and slam the front back down, just like real life!!
in Alive you just flip over backwards, and WTF alive with its no momentum/flow and general dumbing down of what reflex had achieved.

Fix rider collisions in reflex, bring in the JS7 tracks, and at least 12 more superx tracks = reflex 2!
here's hoping..

might have to build a decent gaming pc so I can get reflex for PC with its custom tracks.
I brought an xbox so I wouldn't have to upgrade my pc's all the time Sad

haha. Someone must have got their butt kicked at Reflex quite frequently.

yes, the game can be frustrating until you get it down. Once you do, it is light years ahead of alive.

Anyone who could break a minute on Stonepoint 1 (PS3 times) would agree

I loveddd reflex, alive not so much.

But I was nasty at reflex, that was when I tore my acl so I had nothing to do but play that game, going for lap times was fun but juming nasty sections was the funnest. Because there was no seat bounce/turbo shit. You actually had to be good and know how to keep your speed. Alive made it too easy.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about, on tracks like manchester 2 and kingston 2. Their were rythem sections that were so hard to hit right but if you did it was the best and fastest way through.

Manchester 2 was my favorite though, did anyone else quad 5 through the big rythem section? or step on the last table right before the finish?

Yes did both of those, whip glitching made that possible which many people might not have ever figured out.
