I'm confused. I thought he retired? Also, why would Geico give him a ride? They're a full team and Craig wasn't super impressive last year...

Well I'll be! That is some awesome news right there! Always been a huge CC fan and am so glad to hear he's giving it another shot.

Are you guys sure he's racing the SX series.....or was he just out doing some riding? Either way....very cool.

Relax everyone! Christian is just having some fun riding. He will be at A1 as a spectator enjoying the retired life!

I'm sure he doesn't, be pretty tough to go from never working a day in your life to the grind of construction every day....especially when everyone you're working with knows the only reason you got the job is because you're banging the bosses daughter.

Sarcasm folks, sarcasm

For the past couple years he's had to prepare for A1 this time of year. I think he's trying to portray that this time he actually doesn't have to, hence the 'wait what' comment. Not the usual.

Pretty sure it took some work and discipline to become the rider that he had become....

Give it a couple years. Hopefully he will be back. I wish I didn't miss the prime years of my life with riding and now its too late. Should of, could of, but didn't, will always haunt me because I chose partying over everything. Now it's too late and the only thing I can do is clean up the mess I made. Trying and failing is way worse than not trying at all. I'm not saying Craig didn't try and I followed his career closely and totally respect his decision. I just have a feeling that if he is riding at all right now, I think he might get the itch to race again. Smile

I would actually love to see him on Geico and being trained really well but I'm maybe being selfish. I love watching him ride. Dude has so much talent but for sure he got some bad luck with injuries. Still seemed early to give it up...

I'm sure he put in more work than a lot of construction workers I know.

I'm not trying to say it doesn't take hard work to be a Pro, I fully understand just how hard it is.

However, there is a big difference betweeen spending your days training and riding and concentrating on being a better racer, while being surrounded by people who are there to help you do that...and getting up every morning and going to the job site to work with a bunch of guys who know you are only there because your with the bosses daughter...not trying to knock him really, that's just the reality of it.

For what it's worth, I hope he does great for himself and lives a happy/fulfilled life. The dude rips on a bike no doubt and I'm glad I got to watch him...I also really respect that he knew when to say when.

Sometimes people need a healthy dose of skepticism.

Imagine the mental anguish to sit on your ass injured for weeks or months while others are going to work and living their lives. Then you get healthy and back on the bike trying hard to prove yourself again and make up for lost time only to get injured again. After the second injury your money starts running out and the medical bills start piling up. You finally get through your first couple races placing 10th to 15th and nobody gives a shit and you lose your ride. I say screw that "JOB". Pounding nails in wood and drinking beer after work doesn't sound half bad.
