Milestone's SX track was very busy today. In addition to the preparation for Anaheim, there is also a SX race at Milestone this Saturday.
Here are some pictures:
Weimer was looking solid, and did several motos. Sometimes it looks like he is entering bowl turns a little bit slower than some other riders, but he is very fast through the middle and the exits.

Tickle seems to have improved significantly compared to last season. It looked like he had the best handling bike on the track, especially through the whoops.

I only saw Hahn riding a couple of laps. I guess he did most of his riding today at the Geico Honda private track (also at Milestone). He looked smooth, being the only one to match Tickle's speed through the whoops.

Racing in Australia apparently raised the intensity of Josh Hill's riding. Most of the time I didn't see him doing long motos, as he seemed to be focused on doing shorter sprints and breaking down different sections of the track. In any case, he looked aggressive and confident on the bike!

Jason Lawrence was not far from the pace of the top runners. What an amazing talent! He was fast through most of the track, but on many bowl turns he favored brake-sliding and cutting to the inside, instead of railing the outside. To me it looked slower, but it didn't have a stopwatch, so I can't really say.

WP40 is once again going to embarass several factory riders. He just pushes hard all the time, no cruising around for this guy!. Hopefully he'll have a good support going into Anaheim.

More to come soon.

Up close with Weston Peick:
Another one for the JLaw fans! Notice how he is cutting to the inside of the main line.
Nick Schmidt (AKA the Milestone Assassin):
This guy didn't have numbers on the bike or on his jersey, but he going good! Anyone knows his name?
Another one of Weimer:
Austin Howell:
Josh Hill:

Hopefully it won't be as bad as the forecast predicts, because gusts of 40mph are just crazy and dangerous.
Looks like Bud Racing's Valentin Teillet is still getting used to the US SX tracks, but he seems very talented.
Josh Hill airing it out!
Robert Lind from Sweden:
The mystery rider again:
Gardiner:
Hill on the big double:
Howell again:
I heard the stop watches were out everywhere and Leib had the fastest time out of anyone on the day. Of course, that isn't timing and scoring quality haha.
Leib seemed to be making up time in all the 180 degree berms.
Pit Row
Cool to hear that J-Law still got it!
And Nick Schmidt rides there? I haven't heard that name in a while. He used to ride at the track I ran when Jay Whipple was working with him. He was only a junior rider then and getting ready to go to the INT class. Had a weird riding style. I didn't think the kid was ever going to go pro. How did he look in speed?
J-law cutting bowl turns...... that should be interesting for the night show.
Really hope Leib has a solid season this year.
In fact, I remember that he qualified for the 450 main event at the SX finale in Vegas.
Tickle, Weimer and Hill were among the first to enter the track. It was fun to watch them warm up on the almost empty track.
Tickle blitzes the whoops, as Weimer watches.
Hill shredding a berm.
Another view of Tickle in the Whoops.
The corner preceding the big double in the middle of the track.
Ryder Steffy is extremely smooth on the bike, and he is a taller rider. It almost looks like you're back in time watching Damon Huffman riding again.

Another early morning shot from Tickle.
