I think Youthstream have really picked up the act for Motocross coverage. Just check this out for those who haven't seen it.

It works great and i happily pay the price they want for this service.
Allisports is great also, but i dont use it since i can only see one moto and then have to wait 24-48h for moto 2... I would happily pay 10$ per race to see full SX and MX coverage... maybe even more, since that will be my Saturday entertainment.
Just kidding, i really like the AMA commentators and the whole show except that its close to impossible for people outside US to see live coverage of all the races, even if we are willing to pay for it.
Mx-life is actually offering their service so everybody can see the races live if they want and dont have to wait 48h to find the races on some shady website after its all spoiled on the web if you dont disconnect from internet until the races is uploaded.
which is impossible for a person like me that will sit for 12 straight hours and just refresh slicknicks page on piratebay until the races comes up

The coverage was excellent,ok in the UK we do get all 4 Motos live from every round,,same channel, same time every week (except some fly-aways) but online it's great online with the qualifiers and interviews etc, just like the Allisports do the AMA
It's all headed in the right direction coverage wise
It's a perfect example where two commentators having a conversation with the audience eves-dropping in on their
chat would have worked perfectly. A lot easier to bounce questions off a fellow announcer.
Are the americans that dislike him still bitter over 1994?!

I'd also pay for sx & nats live coverage.

I think Malin does an awesome job, but shouldn't be ALONE. Any live broadcast with ONE commentator is going to get awkward, its an impossible task. Look at F1, football, heck, any sport with a dialled broadcast package, one commentator is just a bad, presumably a cost cutting idea. Emig would be terrible on his own, so would RC, Weege & Ralph. Wheeler needs to be in that booth for every moto!
Thats the main criticism for me as a spectator, I could let the aimless, poorly executed 90s style "town profiles" and terrible "euro" rave music slip if there was decent and intelligent commentary. Such an integral important element. Your not going to fix that with a couple of jibs or a helicam.
If my attention span is drifting, can only imagine what a normal TV punter with remote control in hand and 100 channels to choose from would think.
Hasn't the show by axed by a lot of channels anyway? What networks is it on these days?

MX Sports
I think in the UK we're spoilt by the exceptionally high standards set by the BBC and SkySports though. Television in other countries can appear quite cheesy and amateurish in comparison (though thats not to say some countries also do it well). I think YS are trying hard at creating something professional but what they actually deliver is still quite poor quality. Even the onscreen graphics are virtually unreadable most of the time.
I like Adam Wheeler and it's good when he joins Malin in the booth, I just can't stand the way Malin insists on referring to him as 'Adam Wheeler from Ontrackoffroad.com' every single time he exchanges him in conversation. Personally I think Youthstream should employ Jeff Perret as the shows anchor and co-commentate. He has all the experience, knowledge and cheerful character to make a really good presenter!
(BTSport bought the rights to channel MotorsTV used to occupy so MotorsTV had to change, thats all)
'i saw it on OTOR' is a phrase typed or said by no-one..
The thing that i find annoying is that a webfeed from any random race is better than the live Motors TV feed... not YS's doing but seeing as 23 gazillion people watch every year, youd like to think it would be better.
. . . or how about Malin + Grant Langston. That could be epic. As would Malin + Burnicle.
Not complaining Motocross Illustrated, you said its awesome, I think it could be improved.
Their distribution is awesome though, I'll give you that.
i think Malin should get a partner in the booth, plenty of people seem to do a good job when they guest with him (so i've heard) and i just think it would improve things once again
