I also heard thier moto set a new record with 3 deer killed in less than 20 min. one of which was a trophy buck. All without dropping a cooler or breaking out a tow strap. What a glorious day.

You forgot to mention that it only took 20 minutes of dozer work to flatten all the turns and take out all the ruts. But keep dreaming. Don't you 4 wheel guys have your own message board? Or are you just trying to convert people? Oh I got it. Your like some kind of ATV Mormon or should we just call you the bike Nazzi?

Ouch somebody seems to wanna throw some slang at quads..I was making a point not trying to insult the bikes.. Thats ok where use to it, no matter how much of a dick you try to be, ya cant hide from the facts. Get use to seeing ATVs at the bike nationals, you will see them at more of them next year! toodles.

Wait a second...says there you're from West by Gawd. Come on, dude. Admit it, you have a quad! Haha!

Of course I'm biased here as I do PR for the ITP/Moose Racing AMA Pro ATV Nationals, but look, man, those guys put on a show. I love two wheeled motocross as much or more than anyone that will ever type a word on this board and feel no shame enjoying watching and covering the ATV motocross guys. They rip!

It IS pretty gnarly to think you could drop the gate in the 450 class and see Chad Wienen or Dustin Wimmer running in the top five!

Fans (and chicks) dig'em too.

That is gnarly, totally different dimensions of riding sharing and shredding the same track the same day, thats entertainment.

Riddle me this:

Why are ATV's (with the same displacement as MX bikes) 23 times louder?

because loud pipes save lives. Or at least they like to use that line. C'mon, isn't it the louder your quad is, the more bitchin it sounds, regardless of the tone?

Yea I have a 4 wheel drive 4 wheeler. Who doesn't? I grew up with multi time national champion Shane Hitt. We used to race for the same team and travel to races and stay at each others houses ect. I still get the chance to ride with him now and again. I've been to a shit load of 4 wheeler races. I don't have no disrespect for 4 wheeler riders at all. Steel City was a boring example of a normal race. But I was one of a handful that stayed and watched it. I was actually surprised and disappointed that more people didn't stay. But to compare their times to JS and the rest of the pack is a little off base. There is no track that would suit both disaplines enough to be an even comparison. 4 wheelers don't like ruts and motorcycles don't like polished flat turns. The track crew did a good job of making the track perfect for both. But they where indeed a lot different.
As for FHZRacingZ, This isn't the first time in the last few weeks that he has come on here pumping up 4 wheelers at the same time dissing bikes. It would be nice for him to say something constructive and get a constructive response. Like Who watched the 4 wheelers? I thought the 4 wheelers put on a good show. What about you? Do you think the 4 wheelers would be a good addition to the show being they ran after the motos? The 4 wheelers had a nice pit area and welcomed visitors. Do you guys think they would fit in at another track? ect. There are a million things he could have written and been more constructive. But no he has to lead off with and gloat that the fastest 4 wheel guy would smoke half the motocross pack. Which isn't true nor apples to apples. Take that shit to a 4 wheeler board as far as I'm concerned. This isn't the place. By the way, those fuckers are loud. I had to leave my perfect seat along the fence because of the layer of dust they threw up. I'll remember to leave my sunglasses at the house and bring my goggles the next time they show up.

i noticed that at the local races ,but not for the nationals. They didn't sound any louder. They must have some sort of sound level testing like the bikes do

They all do that. Must be wishful thinking. Sort of like when I refer to my wife's Mercury Villager as the Hemi Cuda.

Hahah that video is kinda funny!

And I am trying to stir up a fuss, who cares if I hurt your E-feelings. I have been on alot of forums in my time and this is by far one of the most crutial and d!ckhead full one....

The one thing I dont get is that you said about the track being different.. The track was great shape for both classes ACCORDING to how they like it.. So shouldnt the lap time issue be more fair because both bikes and atvs had the track how the liked it, instead of riding the others favor.. just curious

Pretty cool, thanks for the laptime info. Does anyone know what the laptime difference was at Loretta's this year for the quads vs. the bike?

PJ Larson/MX A Pro sport ran a fastest lap time of 02:00.977 in the first heat, the rest of the motos the fastest was in the 2:02 range i believe.

Chad Wienen ran a 02:02.395 in moto 1 two weeks later at the same track.....

Again, I am not trying to cause a whole bunch of problems and rub it in peoples faces, there is just to many bike riders out there that give quads no respect and think were all idiots.. Im just showing the simularity..

More importantly, how was the RACING? I couldn't care less if they are racing tricycles or unicycles out there, the racing is all that really matters.

I've have no problems with ATVs as long as they are on the track by themselves, but there is no way in hell they could run top five at a nat.

I bet they could have kicked Ricky's ass at that mud race - where he lapped the field....EDITED... well maybe second.

Hey, everybody's looking for Coombs to make things better, bigger.
I don't know about the rest of the world, but around here, they're everywhere.
Maybe he should have had some strippers, but he seems to be going with
the "concert-carnival" thing. The family route. Nothing wrong with that.

On the webcast Weegie said a pretty good crowd stayed to watch the refrigerators run,
who knows, it might be a way to get some bigger attendance. At least he's trying.

As far as the quad lingo, they want to call'em bikes so be it. Europe has
drivers, and the Aussies, well, quit being a Nancy and just get on with it.

1) Quads and bikes don't mix. I'm disappointed that they are trying to integrate quads into the National MX program.

2) The reason quads are anywhere close to bikes as far as lap times is because of cornering. Quads make it easy.
